People don’t seem to like magneto so much in this game but as a huge magneto fan, I think he looks fun. Lack of upwards mobility is a shame but he seems like he could make for a great off tank with all those supportive abilities and long range pressure. Also the ult is perfect.
Yeah, I played him a lot more than I thought I would. Plus, when you add on the team-up with Scarlet Witch he does a surprising amount of damage. As a Magneto fan - how do you feel about the design? I thought he looked too bulky at first, but it's grown on me.
I am a fan of Magneto as well, but I have to counter statement your statement: I define off tanks and main tank by who has a shield or some sort of a wall. Magneto in my perspective seems more like a main tank since he is very bulky, can shield himself and his teammates and can do alot of damage if SW on his team, and yes i consider Groot as a main tank because of his wall, an off tank I am gonna say it's Venom,Penny,Thor since they make up for the lack of shield in damage and they help the duelist to secure kills. @@valstarlight I like it. He is bulkier than I’d expect but the Armor still looks good and I love his animations, especially how his run cycle has him holding one arm behind his back, very regal of him. I’m gonna need him in red and purple when I get my hands on the game, though.
@@omrizubary That’s not how I would define main tanks and off tanks. There are examples in overwatch like Ball who is a considered main tank with no barrier and Sigma who is traditionally an off-tank with a barrier, which do not support your definition. Generally, a main tank is any tank that has the staying power and pressure to be taking space the most aggressively and will almost always be in the front lines. Off-tanks on the other hand don’t have that kind of survivability but make up for it in utility and usually extra damage, especially at range. An off-tanks’s job is to support the main tank in their advance and peel for team mates when the main tanks doing so would mean giving up tons of space, and magneto’s kit is perfect for that. That’s why I would classify Magneto as an off-tank, especially because he doesn’t have the biggest health pool and all of his survivability is on quite long cooldowns, but he has insane utility with his shield and good burst damage with his left click. I think someone like Venom is a main tank because he lacks that utility but can stay in the middle of an enemy team for an entire fight, and while he doesn’t have crazy burst damage he can put out good sustained pressure which helps him take space. Taking that space is far more important for helping your team than any barrier imo, and main tanks are the tanks that can do it best. That said Magneto also seems pretty flexible and with certain teams could probably work great as a main tank imo.
My whole world turned upside down, i believed that main tanks are like overwatch. Those who have barriers and play objective and off tanks helps the dps to secure kills@thebigyes8482
Question for you. I notice you tend to try and take out Scarlet Witch whenever she's using her ult. Why not try to block it, or run away instead? Wouldn't it be safer? Genuinely curious.
It depends on the game, honestly. I think my initial thought process is to just kill her, because as you can see from a lot of my videos, I also play a ton of Scarlet Witch and I noticed when people were really starting to figure things out and shut me down on her, they were just switching to me and melting me. Which is why I developed such a sneaky approach to ulting with her. Now... You don't always have a team who is quick to turn to her and shut her down, sadly. Shielding the ult will always be priority on the tanks with the shields who can do-so though. It's possible my shield was just on cooldown for some of the ones in this video, but that's typically my plan. It also depends on what role I'm playing. For Tank: Shield it and block it for your team if you can. DPS: Just take her out. Support: If I'm mid-healing and she starts the animation I will usually just try to hide behind something. If I'm on a support that does damage like Adam/Rocket, I might still try to take her out. ^Those would be the ideal scenario per role for me, but it doesn't always work out that way lol.
