Don't give me a hard time about the peach guys. I live in Illinois
but it is Midsummer!!! Where's the punsch?
The peach is awesome. It's great in a white sangria!
Brookfield - Lagrange represent!
I used to bartend at a bar called Brixies in Brookfield in the 90s. Some guy asked for a fuzzy naval. I didn’t know how to make it. He made fun of me for being a bartender. I said well if you don’t tell me what goes in it You don’t get one.
I freaking love sangria and I’m totally gonna make this! Thanks for this video and all your videos basically !
@@kraftaculousgreekgodofcraf1113 joliet represent. fuzzy navels are actually one of my favorite and often my go to drink when out. its yummy and has a funny name.
i always get tensed when you slide in the bottles so close to each other... tell me the truth, how many of them get smashed while doing this 🤣... nice cocktail video, will try it out
My dad always said that sangria counts as a fruit serving. He also said that Sasquatch is real. So take that however you want.
Sasquatch is real. I once worked with one at a corporate job in Chicago. Big, hairy, keep to themselves, kind of slow to respond, make sounds like Chewbacca. Scary looking but actually harmless in real life.
Nods and GWAAAAAAAAAHHH
Sounds legit
My liquor store had a bottle of green chartreuse, and a new Anders video. What a great day.
My wife's favorite fruit salad
In Macedonia where Im from, and possibly other Balkan countries there exists a beverage called Bunar (Бунар) which translates to Well. It consists of 1l White wine, 1l sparkling water and a small bottle of either a Bitter Lemon Schweppes or a Tonic. We add slices of apple, lemon and orange and enjoy it all year round.
Sounds perfect for warm weather
10:23 - nice shot of pitcher, glass and sparkler 💍
I got this recipe from a restaurant in the Napa Valley of California. I cut up whatever stone fruit is available, usually Peaches and Plums, but they can't be ripe yet. Big slices. To that, I had 1 bottle of a nice California Voiginer, then let it sit covered in the fridge overnight. The next morning, I taste and add some simple syrup if necessary, but usually the natural sugars in the fruit are enough. An added benefit is that some friends cannot wait to consume the fruit that's been steeping in the wine.
Hey, “white sangria” is mostly known as clericot in Brazil. It uses mostly mild flavored fruits, like peaches and green grapes, and its base liquor can be white wine or champagne
Love the Mr Kool Aid reference!! Great work as always Anders 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Hey my midwest brother. Me and my boo fell in love with your channel. I even say "to the bar" all the time and it's driving her crazy...LOL. Have a great weekend!
Don't stop saying it. At some point it'll be funny. Cheers!
@@AndersErickson Lol. Finally someone who gets me. Please don’t think I’m weird. We should all go out for dinner and drinks sometime. You both seem like our kind of people….NORMAL! We will be in Uptown tomorrow for Jamaican food if you’re down. My name’s Anthony McIntosh and my lady’s name is Gosia! 🙏🏾👊🏾
The vortex tech gave me the tipsy bartender goosebump lmao
Oh Sherrie,…. * queue Steve Perry*
😂😂😂
Man, A/C troubles DO need a good Sangria to chill out 😂 ❄
Did the trick. Cheers
One of the best days of my life when I discovered such a thing as white sangria and I've made countless pitchers since, often making it with whatever I had on hand. Will try this version.
Apricot is a nice touch. I've always done Peach and a splash of Cointreau
Oo Sangria!
Anders, I always like when you have your lady come on camera and help test your drinks. In this case, she’s the peach.
Yay I’ve been wanting to try making white sangria. Now I have an excuse to make it.
I like making Sangria. General rule of thumb is use poor wine but good fruit juice!...My white recipe uses w/wine, w/port and either lemon juice or apple with pieces of green apple, pale grapes and lemon slices.
I love vid for 3 reasons:
1 - Love me a sangria, I make them all the time. I’m pretty much use whatever I have on hand and it all seems to work.
2 - Loved the the Kool Aid commercial reference 😆
3 - Thx for sharing the peach problem…hate it when I realize it’s not a freestone peach, love that you keep it real
I always mix everything but the wine and then let it hangout in the fridge for a day or two. When I’m ready to serve I add the wine, best of both worlds.
You can also do it with with an sparkling like champagne, proseco or traditionaly with cava, the catalan champagne
The most dangerous white sangria I ever had started with silver tequila, Quattro, and Chablis white wine. Filled up with sliced orange, apple and grapes…let’s just say it was a black out fest at my college party. Haven’t done it since lol
Uh oh. Thinking this one's a bit more sessionable. Cheers
Anders, I’m new to the channel but already obsessed about it. Congrats for such a high quality work! May I request a video on the Fitzgerald? Have covered it?! Greetings from Brazil!
Welcome to the channel! Haven't covered the Fitzgerald yet, but I'll keep it in mind. Cheers!
I had white sangria in Barcelona on a hot summer night and it was insanely good and refreshing. Thanks for this! Most of Europe doesn't have AC.
Great episode. My wife doesn't usually drink but loves sangria, so I'm for sure going to have to try this out. Also, every episode should have your girlfriend as a taster. She is awesome, I always love it when she shows up.
Making it for the Fourth of July! Thanks!
Enjoy it. Cheers
Nice recipe! I like using a Sauvignon Blanc and fortify it with some peach schnapps and a funky pot-stilled white rum; add some white grapes [marketed as “green” grapes now-not sure when that happened] cut in half, peach wedges, chunks of Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced and halved oranges and lemons, and a handful of mint leaves. Oftentimes, however, I just use whatever I have on hand…and it still comes out great!
TO THE BAR!➡️🥃
Thank you again Anders
Just a couple of weeks ago I commented the “red” sangria video and asked for a recipe with white wine😂
Much appreciated ❤️
❤❤ love me some albariño and this looks delicious!
We live on the South Shore on the North Shore there is Ponchatoula where the strawberries grow (and the strawberry fest happens) it’s a short enough distance to get fresh from the farm strawberries
A secret from my cousin who grows organic stone fruit in California: When you're buying peaches at the grocery store, smell each one. Don't buy one that doesn't have at least some peach scent to it. But if it smells like a peach, buy it, no matter how hard it is -- it will ripen at room temp in your kitchen in 1-3 days. And don't worry about whether the flesh clings to the pit -- that has everything to do with the variety of peach it is, not with whether it's ripe or not.
Can you please do a series on punch bowls or large scale cocktails that a servable for parties. This is a great one so I could imagine you have good bowl recipes to share 🙏
Stay cool buddy!
The AC guy finally fixed it this morning! Cheers!
Hey White Sangria!!!! ... OH YEAH!!!!!!
Cava is a spectacular wine choice for a sangria aswell
My thoughts exactly!
Ugh, time difference sucks! We're hosting a picnic party in an hour in London and I wish I'd watched that video yesterday! No way I'm going to find apricot liqueur around where I live. This recipe sounds delicious, will definitely try it this summer, thank you!
I really dig that speakeasy music that played you out today
Seems like the heat was getting to Anders in this video.. .and i am here for it. Will be making this for sure.
ikn i dont have to try out every single recipie BUT I REALLLY REALLY WANT TO...
Definitely making this! Love sherry and this sounds perfect for summer. Also, you and Oz are so dang cute together, it’s a really nice addition to the male dominated cocktail UA-cam space.
That looks soooo good! I have an old friend coming to visit in August and I'm thinking I might have to make this for them. Thanks!
One addition I'd make is to add peach schnapps- works great and allows you to add more booze without breaking the flavor profile (according to my wife).
Great timing! Just been to Gran Canaria and got served a few different versions of this. My girlfriend made one for my family last weekend. I didn't find it that interesting so hopefully I'll learn a few things in this vid:)
Looks good!
oh yeah!!!!!!
This looks fabulous ❤
The oh yeah was funny. 😂😂
Speaking of the apricot liquor: That reminds me of a “Manhattan twist” I did once: swapped it for the Vermouth, instead of Whisky, I used a Cognac and Orange bitters too; banger !
I love this episode so much!
I love fresh white sangria. And peaches. And strawberries. Well done! Though I have to say, being a strawberry farmer is not all it’s cracked up to be. My grandmother made me pick strawberries as a kid. Allegedly, being miserable, bending over picking fruit in the hot sun builds character. I remain unconvinced.
Damn that looks so good, I can promise you I'll make a white sangria this summer!
There was a bar/restaurant in Boston in the 1980s that was famous for its white sangria floats - still a summer/club-close favorite and I can't wait to try it with your recipe!
White sangria floats sound next level
I was served an excellent white sangria earlier this year. It was white wine, tequila, raspberry liqueur, lemon juice, ginger syrup. They served it with a wedge of pineapple, which was weird, though.
Awesome video perfect timing! 😊
White Sangria has always been my choice for the summer. It is so good. Cheers 🧡
I make red sangria regularly. I use a bag of frozen mixed berries, any dark red wine, brandy & sugar. Yum 😋
I just made a gin & tonic when this popped up on my feed. Cheer!
Now I want a gin & tonic
5:41: "Where can you see me walking to?"
Nice ring flex from Az there at 10:22🔷
What a refreshing and tasty summer drink! For you and Az it's Friday afternoon, but I always watch on Saturday mornings over coffee, planning on how to enjoy the weekend!
I have probably made 10-20 pitchers of Sangria since your video last year.
Welp, time to hit the store 😂
Az's face when Anders almost started taking credit for the home grown strawberries. Priceless!
Anders… you’re a big dork and I love it. Thanks for the fun videos. Az is awesome! ❤
Scotches with a Fino Sherry finish are incredible
Hi Anders….I love a good Sangria👏👏👏….My recipe is very similar to yours, but I like apricot brandy & Riesling…just a few other comments: no worries- -no judging on the peaches, I love the “cool aid vessel”, great versatility on this drink!👌👌👌🤗🤗🤗…I hope your AC gets fixed quickly…melting here in New York so I certainly sympathize! Good luck with strawberries! Have a wonderful weekend and as always “CHEERS!”❤️❤️❤️
Honestly a Sherry cobbler just feels like the brass tacks version of sangria. I love a little nectarine or apricot in mine if I can buy it in summer.
Love yo guys to the end; probably not best to do video when you're high.
Bet this would be good w cocchi americano
Pimms for the win
I think the heat got to Anders in this one.
In Spain, white sangria is usually made with cava (Spanish champagne) instead of white wine.
Anders!!!! I ordered your syrup , love it ! But you the unexpected Citrus Passion syrup is Amazing!!! Thank you for your time helping us out , please tell your wife i enjoyed every review on your drinks , she has a GREAT personality and personal
So next video make a rosé sangria! 🎉
Wow I haven’t had Sangria since my university days! Sounds nice for the hot summer! Great video Anders! Cheers!
Hope this one takes you back! Cheers Christine!
@@AndersErickson Sounds fab Anders!! 🙂
had to look up sessionable 😛
You probably had a clingstone peach versus a freestone peach which separates easily from the pit. 😊
Yeah that one clung for sure
Geez, I made (my own party version of ) this in college the following way: one No. 10 wash tub, sterilized; one 5 Liter Gallo (or something comparable, sweetish) Red Rose; one liter, any German Riesling; one pint of Vodka; four Oranges, Four Lemons, Four limes, all sliced into eight slices; two liters of soda water. Serve in red Solo cups. Modify to taste. FYI: We had Bikers from a local LE Biker Club check IDs. SO we were legit. Go in peace.
i need to know where you got those pitchers from. they are adorable and i want them so bad.
I have a bit of an aversion to red sangria because of an unpleasant experience I had when I once overindulged in it. This, however, looks and sounds tasty enough that I might be willing to give it a try.
Ain't Friday for me but I've got the thirst anyway.
Serves "4" "to" "6".... or 1 in my big tumbler
Not sure if you've done it already but I'd love to see an apple cinnamon sangria once fall/winter rolls around. Love the content as always!
Last fall I made a punch called Harvest Moon Punch. Not quite sangria, but a bit along those lines ua-cam.com/video/S5ipwEU7uHo/v-deo.html
Just got a bottle with white sangria in mind, how do you read my mind Anders
I'll never tell
Am I the only one who saw the lovely rock on Az's finger?! Or is this old news?
Same question!
You consider that 4 to 6 servings? Man, you've been away from Wisconsin too long...lolol 😂
Video starts around 6:00
Nice shirt!
Cheers!
Speaking of hand farts, my 1973 high school talent contest winner was Captain Zephyr and the Windjammers. The bass player did armpit farts.... Where are they today?
Im a bit confused- most of the Sangria in Italy and Spain I've had have oranges and they often top it up with Sprite or some fizzy lemon/orange Fanta type drink. Red wine sangria is more fruit and alcohol heavy.
If someone asked me I'd ask if they knew what "sangre' meant. Then ask, what has white blood ?
Would love to know where y'all got your pitchers!
Got the smaller pitcher at a second hand shop. Pretty sure the larger one was from CB2
@@AndersErickson That smaller one is adorable! Definitely gonna be on the list of things to look out for on the next thrifting adventure. Thanks!
If you want5 to keep it "white" I'd suggest skipping the strawberries. I have used apples, white grapes, nectarines in addition to the peaches and lemons.
Anders love you dearly Orsum bloke and the your missies thats Austrailian
Serious question here. What would you recommend to add if I wanted more ABV? Would I ruin the vibe with 4oz of vodka?
Vodka would blend easily in here. You can always add more, so start with a small amount and taste as you go
What other liqueur would work with this? Orange?
Is that a new ring?
How about using champagne instead of white wine?
