Every time I watch one of your tutorials, I transition from thinking "oh, I don't know that, let's check it out" to "omg, that's precisely the tool I needed, I just wasn't aware of it". Cheers!
this should be the one responsible for the TODOLIST BAckends not the Local Storage. Seriously you explain more than enough than those guys doing the JS stuffs. looking forward to make more like this. Thnks really for this
So I was watching a react course. At one part, I needed to watch this. And now, at a point in the video, I need to go watch another course( await) so that I can watch this so that I can watch the react one.
me: let me learn react -> maybe I should make sure I have a solid understanding of JSON server -> i should revise on async javaScript -> back to react.
Great stuff! I'm currently learning React and was just curious how would one use JSON Server in vanilla JS. Your content is extremely informative as per usual.
For anyone watching this in future, the json server version has been updated and some of the filters work differently rather use: npm install -g json-server@0.17.4 instead of installing the latest.
perfect timing for the post of this video ... just what I needed. In part 2 will you cover off looping through a posts children... e.g. if a post had multiple sub sections to it? anyhow great video!
I finished a coding bootcamp a few months ago and have been self-learning since, and while I'm job-seeking, I'd like to know if in you think it's better to say I'm a Full Stack Developer or to begin with, I should stick with Front End Developer, specializing in ReactJS for example? Some argue that Full Stack is better because in the employer's eyes I'm multi-faceted but some argue that sticking to Front or Back will increase my chances of employability because it's more "believable" and being as I have no experience, will be "easier" for me. I'd love to get your input! Thank you.
I'd say pick a side first, be it frontend or backend, whichever you feel more comfortable with. For most people with little experience, frontend is more fun since it's more "visual". I was in a similar situation 2 years ago, went with frontend, now I'm slowly transitioning to full-stack but it takes time, gaining experience is something one cannot hurry. A word of advice: don't pay too much attention to the vast amount frameworks and libraries out there, it's much more important to internalize concepts and patterns.
I'd say take it one step at a time. I started with front-end and became as good as I could with that before moving on the server-side code. Besides, full-stack is a very loose term. The stack is very changeable in terms of technologies used & what one company uses isn't necessarily what another one will. But that's just my opinion and others may disagree.
Hi, is anyone else getting an Error: "The file C:\Users....\json.sever.ps1" couldn't be loaded, because the execution of scrips in this system is deactivated. More Information...." FullyQualifiedErrorId: UnauthorizedAccess Thanks
Please help me. I can not install json server, the command "npm install -g json-server" does not work, show "changed 178 packages, and audited 179 packages in 4s 13 packages are looking for funding run `npm fund` for details found 0 vulnerabilities"
Thank you very much for the tutorial, I am working the json-server locally and it works for me, but when compiling the project it does not work for me, I have to change the localhost path to the url of the website?
This is incredibly frustrating - I have followed this through for the first 30 minutes , I have the localhost:3000/posts page working and displaying exactly as it should, but the web page showing the blogs stubbornly refuses to change from 'all blogs add new blog'. This is my console output when I try to refresh my browser: GET /posts 304 18.696 ms - - GET /db 200 1.601 ms - 501 GET /__rules 404 7.040 ms - 2 GET /db 304 1.337 ms - - GET /__rules 404 5.667 ms - 2 GET /posts 304 28.519 ms - - GET /db 304 1.096 ms - - GET /__rules 404 14.380 ms - 2 GET /db 304 3.467 ms - - GET /__rules 404 12.751 ms - 2 GET /posts 304 6.823 ms - - GET /posts 304 5.515 ms - - If anyone can figure what I am doing wrong I would appreciate it. Also not that I cannot run >json-server --watch data/db.json in a VS Code window but have to use the windows command prompt, if that is relevant to the problem.
Figured it! Took a lot of patience and a couple of days away from the terminal but I got it in the end. Came to it fresh today and quickly realised that my data/db.json folder and file were within my js folder, similarly my css file and three html files were also there. A bit of reorganisation and woo hoo it works perfectly.
I tried to run it but got an erro: r 'C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming pm\json-server.ps1 is not digitally signed. You cannot run this script on the current system.'
What should I do next Can you make a pathway video to know how should we follow your playlist from your channel for every technology covered on your channel?

can i do this without async function? or how can i get a elemts render with my script out of a async function?
hey shaun, when you wrap the renderPost(), function in an arrow function and said you dont want the e(event object is there a reason for that)?

Can you do full flutter course udemy? I would buy it. The series you made is pretty great but i would love to see basics to advance. Thank You!
Your passion is really inspirational and it motivates many developers! Great worrkk!
Please make a react native project next
How can I make a JSON file, and have the ability to edit it after publishing the react app?
Isn't there a better way to send the post object directly to details page, since you already have it? This way you save some extra API calls.
So, in order to run JSON Server, am I supposed to have installed Live Server and, or XAMPP?...
