Great video! I just sent it to a friend that repairs phones. He tore two separate ribbons of the speaker cable on a customers a53. Out of a dozen repair videos and web page guides you are the only one I've seen that says remove the speaker housing and all three cable connection points! It's just so much easier to do with the entire ribbon cable out of the way.
And finally... Thank you so much for using PLASTIC spudgers and other tools on a lithium battery. Too many use metal tools and it's just not good to do. Such a bad chance to puncture a battery. It's not worth the risk. Those batteries are down right dangerous if not handled correctly 😊
This is true. I got sloppy and did just exactly that. Caught on fire and vented on my desk. I had an extinguisher at hand, but it totally cooked the phone and stunk up the house. Thankfully it was an old phone, but a total FUBAR and dangerous situation. Thankful there were no injuries or larger fire. 🙄
@@michael.g5402 yes sir. That's how I found out firsthand as well. Luckily I was at a table close to the door to throw it outside. It's crazy how quickly they go from harmless little thing to miniature hell lol
That's the truth! As soon as I saw the first spark I jumped away from it. Hate that it happened, but I learned a big' ol lesson today that I will never forget. 🔥🧯🔥🧯
