Congrats on the new pan! I’m going to play devil’s advocate and say you should retire that quad for now since you’re burnt out on it and it kind of clashes with your main PTP. You can always come back to work on it later. Personally I would be interested to see how much you could do with your main PTP without it competing with anything.
Or alternatively you can just declutter the grey shade and finish the rest of the quad. That shade is massive and slow going and so… grey. Trying to finish it seems like a punishment to me 😅
If I were you I’d be proud of the progress in that quad and call it done in my collection! Why bother panning something you don’t really like when you could focus on eyeshadows you enjoy working on more? This way you can make more Progress on the big palette and that will make it more enjoyable and motivating for you :)
I think you are doing great! I think it is a good idea to focus on just one shadow in last years pallet so you can have some fun with your this year pallet. I know you are committed but don’t burn yourself out! I think one at a time might be a good idea.
Maybe repress a bit of the grey and eggplant together to see if you like it better. Might make it easier to get through.
Happy Sunday, All 🎉 I would suggest taking a break from your Catrice and just play/finish up some shadows in your main palette. It will help you feel like you are making progress (which you will be) and you can pull in the other as needed. Your persistence WILL pay off!
Could be fun and helpful to franken something into that empty pan in the quad. Something with some of that grey to help get thru it maybe?
Great progress again! If I was you I would just give up on the grey, or if you really want to finish it franken it with a brown to make it a contour 🙂
I have no idea if anyone suggested this before, have you tried it, liked it...but I'm gonna share my experience.
(I only pan at home for myself, I don't post online)
I'm very fair with light hair so when I pan a palette I always end up using all the lighter shades and end up with bunch of dark brown, dark grey, eggplant shades.
What I started doing and actually like is: lining my eyelids/eyelashes with those shades.
I have hooded eyes so winged eyeliner doesn't really work, so what I do is, I use that small angled eyeliner brush and use dark eyeshadow just to follow my lashline, I don't extend anything into a wing, just plain, simple line along my lashes. It makes them look fuller and thicker which I love and since I'm using small brush I get pretty consistent dips in pans. Obviously I don't use much at the time that way, but progress is visible pretty soon that way, so it also motivating in a way.

you should repress the blushes on your main pan that palette for easier access
Politely, You should try putting more foundation on your nose. The redness clashes with the tones of the eyeshadows.
Have you thought of “Frankening” the harder shades…. The colors that are to light or to dark or your just bored with, mix them up make something new
At the end of your video for the time laps of the progress there is no sound.
And maybe you could franken the grey eyeshadow with one of the blushes and the brown eyeshadow to make a contouring shade.
I also have a version of that catrice quad and it was sohard to just hit pan in some of the shades, never mind using the big pans up. I am trying to at least use up the two smaller pans out of there but it also takes a lot of time.
Still you have such good dedication on your PTPlettes for so many years.
