Great Piece! I love your work. Just starting out trying to build some dioramas and your vids have been both extremely helpful and inspiring. Appreciate you, man! Thanks and keep it up!
As always, awesome work. I do the same with regard to signs, having to find individual ones and resize them. I like filling out a whole sheet of paper with various signs and heading over to Staples or something like that to get a high quality printout, usually lasts me a while. Really, really nice. I gotta get myself together and finish this diorama I've been slacking on. Seeing your work constantly motivates me to get things done!
Thank you Cap! I need to do just that, get a bunch of stuff printed on better quality paper than work has and keep an inventory as opposed to printing the 3 signs I need for a particular dio. Get on that dio sir.... legggoooo!
Great job ! I specially like the grey brick / concrete. Seams like most people paint red or brown bricks. Could you do a tutorial on how you did the grey. I want to do grey cinder blocks or cinder blocks that have been painted as in a white wall, but I heard it is hard to cover the black wash with lighter colors like white. Keep up the great work, cheers.
Thank you. Most bricks are in fact of the red/brown variety in their natural makeup. Some companies will paint a brick wall but it will chip soon enough because of the properties in the brick. Cinder blocks are mostly grey, unless painted. For white walls of any variety, I just use white, a few coats. For brick colored or grey, I black wash.
Thank you sir. I indent the balsa wood on the foam and then I slice along the indented lines and pull out as much foam as I could, then insert the roof and push out the rest through the back.
Awesome dio as always Al! You ever thought of having the recipients send you a pic of them using your dio that you can post? I like how you show how it looks with a figure but I'd be interesting to see what the owners do once they receive it. Big fan as always and keep up the great work! :)
Thank you very much. It's an interesting thing actually. Some people will use these dio's to just display their figures, others I follow or see their action figure photography on Instagram or facebook and other people just disappear and I never see their dio's again.
Another fine dio, sir. You set the standard as usual.
Thank you sir
I worked on a Loading dock years ago. It's crazy the amount of detail you have. Just watching this video I can smell the dock.
Thank you sir... glad this dio brought you back

Nice job Al! For the roof that is removable, how do you cut the holes for the basal wood to fit into the foam?
Thank you sir. I indent the balsa wood on the foam and then I slice along the indented lines and pull out as much foam as I could, then insert the roof and push out the rest through the back.
