He did asses circulation as he assessed pulse and skin, ABC for med call That would be more so XABC for suspecting MOI. But she was found sitting in her room no report of trauma (fall)
Not trained to have a partner cause this profession is in the gutter and more often then not you won’t have a partner. Even IF your assigned an emt as partner there may be a good chance they are a complete dud
is your secondary assessment going to be for the neurological body part system, I know that he just said the for his secondary assessment he only mention the blood glucose
@@oneavel817 Blood sugar pertains to neurological function as well, with severe hypoglycemia immitating a stroke if low enough for a long enough amount of time.
He did well, but once I see her skin signs , “pale, cool, clammy” it would be important to get vitals right away rather than just going through SAMPLE and OPQRST. Her BGL would most certainly rule out if this is in fact a diabetic emergency or not. First generally on scene somebody is already getting vitals while the paramedic or partner is gathering a story/info
During these assessments you have 2 additional emt they never utilize them in these videos I’ll immediately have them take vital signs call Als and etc while I’m during sample and opqrst….
He pulled out the kit but they don't have you poke the person. You just have to say you're doing it (sometimes explain the process) and then the tester gives you a number. He did that.
Absolutely, our student pulled out the glucometer to signify taking one. Most skill stations won't have you prick the volunteers finger. You can imagine how fun that would be if 25 students were coming through your station right!
She cant eat some MnM's to get her sugar up? Unless ots so severe but if she can wait for a call to the EMT and wait for the EMT to arrive...a piece of bread or candy would suffice? Right or no?
This is about the NREMT exam not reality. This is just demonstrating that students know the fundamentals. MOST diabetics can take care of themselves, know what’s going on when their BG is out of wack, and can tell the EMT’s what they need. An EMT can’t prescribe bread as a treatment, if you called 911 you’re gonna ride in the boo boo box
@@alexanderwolfgang3571 haha. I’m pretty sure dispatch even asks questions pertaining to diabetes and will recommend they eat something if the caller believes they’re hypoglycemic
Didn't verbalize assessing for major bleeding for circulation.

How come no one every uses the additional help you have … have the other emt do vitals signs call Als and etc they never utilize them
When I tested, you have to do the first set of vitals and such. Then your partner may complete the second set and such.

i believe it would be cardiovascular. neurological would be brain or spine, blood sugar pertains to heart and blood

These scenarios are for the state practical exam. You have to follow a sheet that they score you on.
Psychomotor testing is nothing like real life, which is why they’re getting rid of them (except for AEMT for some reason)
Lol obviously. This is just a standardized and structured practice assessment
He didn't do a bgl or did I miss it?
They call it CBG
He did
Test the blood glucose?

How about a quick glucose check?
