Our forefathers were minimalists, helping each other, social and simple living was the secret of their happiness. Every item they used have several importance, each closely connected with nature. I remember all these utensils from my childhood days.. these were used in every household in Mangalore.. it's used even today in a few houses..but an ancient world will be lost with time.     ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ವಸ್ತು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಾಲಯವನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ಅನುಭವವಾಯಿತು. ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 60 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೆವು, ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆವು..

    What a treasure! I am also one of the luckiest generation to see some of the items in my grandmother's house. Have played with them. We used to hide in one of those big copper barrels while playing hide and seek, play 'merry go round' one would sit inside and another will spin it around' 🙂 best days of my life. Simple life happy life

    Amazing!!👌👌it was like watching a documentary film on ancient utensils in some museum. And this generation has so much value for ancestor's collection and is being taken care of such precious things. Hats of to you Bhat family. Butter making wooden churner is so well carved, bathroom's bat(kodanti), pickled container, spice containers, water pitcher,etc. Its mind blowing. Thankyou for the exhibition. Keep going!!👍👍👏

    Thanks for this precious video showing kitchen utensils and storage items , salt storage,and jagerrary. Storage utensils are awesome ,I have seen buttermilk churning tool but I was too small then in one of my relatives house now after seeing this I am happy

      Olden days jaggery was in a liquid form . So it can be easily stored in this type of vessel.
