      xXBlackMambaxX24XX we could say the same when the patriots signed him after he left the bucs, hes a product of the bucs

    • @impervius8690
      @impervius8690 10 років тому

      Joe Padilla he was always real talented, and utilized well by the previous regime, once schiano came in, and martin emerged, he was forgotten about. Product of the bucs old regime for him getting his footing, he was then a non factor after a great rookie year, the pats helped revive his career. So he's as much if not more a product of the pats. But bell is still the better back

    • @MatthewMonaco17

      Does nothing? He was a good back up running back..

      @ballstothewall2455 10 років тому

      eh he was okay for the first month but he was completely out of the gameplan by the end of his time there.. after all he got cut because he was mad he wasent getting any handoffs because the steelers thought he sucked!

    • @MatthewMonaco17
      @MatthewMonaco17 10 років тому

      poo man good point. But he wasn't a slouch when he was on the field. He won't pull that kind of crap in New England. Hes a great addition. Sucks the Patriots didn't use him more in the Packers game.

  • @Jay-fq8uz
    @Jay-fq8uz 9 років тому +2

    He reminds of all the big tall athletic running backs back in the day who actually could finish and make it to the end zone on a big run. Not saying their isn't big athletic running backs but he reminds me more then most.

    • @moheganson
      @moheganson 9 років тому +1

      Ron Dayne with more upside, Pats should sign him to long term deal and he should be the main running back with Gray and Vereen as complimentary backs

      ***** You seem quite pretentious to me. In fact your comments are quite arrogant. Jerome Bettis didn't have burst? He actually ran a 4.49 40 yard dash while Blount ran a slower 4.59 40 yard dash. Not until a little later in his career did he adopt the Smash-mouth style he is most commonly known for today. You see as running backs age they tend to become less of a speed back and more of a power back because of the loss of explosiveness. If you've watched any football this year you could tell Blount has been used as a change of pace for Bell. Primarily being used on shortage yardage/goal line situations. Which brings me back to my original statement BUS 2.0. Not saying he will ever be as good as the Bus because Jerome is the 6th all time leader in Yardage. So i'm afraid you aren't quite as astute as you perceive yourself to be. Good day sir

    • @MyMagicSauce
      @MyMagicSauce 10 років тому

      ***** I will reserve the right to be pretentious because clearly i have a higher understanding of this topic then yourself. My comment was actually meant to be satirical in the way you throw big words around to sound "smart" . Yes you are right we do disagree but the difference is I've stated facts to back my observation while you've said nothing meaningful to prove that I was wrong. NONE of the remarks you originally stated are true as I have explained in my last comment. I could continue to show the similarities of Jerome and Legarrette but i'll refrain from embarrassing you any further. You are best off not commenting things on the internet that you have no knowledge about.

      Jon Littlejohn You don't understand football. Blount has only had 20+ carries 9 times in his career he rushed for over 100 7 times in those games.
      He's also had 4 100 yd games with less than 20 carries.
      The NFL just isn't the same any more

    Just picked him up off waivers in my fantasy league. I know the Pats love him. They regret letting him go and will give him every opportunity to shine like he did last year. Now if only Roger Goodell would take his head out of his arse and re-instate AP!

    I know he has problems but Bill should consider bringing him back. I'm not sold on Gray. He looked like AP last game against the Colts. But that Ridley, Blount 1, 2 punch was great last year. It would be even better with a Gray, Gronk, Develin, Blount and a extra OT on the field. Defenses would get tired of trying to bring those guys down

    • @theuncledrew9818
      @theuncledrew9818 10 років тому +1

      John Felix This is Huge man lol. Now we add a beast that was our leading RB last year to a totally better passing game with LaFell and Wright. And he's a kickoff return guy, that's gonna give us better field position and TDs. Great Move !! We already have the best Passing attack led by Gronk, a dominant defense and now a legit, wear you down run game. It will also make the play action more effective than it already is.

    • @theuncledrew9818
      @theuncledrew9818 10 років тому

      ***** That's not bad but I believe Blount should get the most snaps on the ground. Now Gray should start and get the offense moving but Blount should get the workload. Gray would start to wear down the Defense, Vareen will keep them on edge and Blount force will lay the final devastating blow. But it wouldn't hurt if Blount was the starter. He's bigger than Gray and he has fresher legs thanks to Pittsburgh
