What a lovely song and Manjari is so lively. The musicians deserve much kudos. The anchor however has such a grumpy and scary look !
Talat songs must be sung by those who have that level of delicacy that Talat voice has. Also the words of this gazal are well chosen words. The singer now singing has presure imposed in her voice to stay in tune with the tune of the song.

Manjari is one of the BEST artist of our times. Despite being from South her Urdu songs are delivered in such a perfect way that some Pakistani singers like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Rahat Fateh Ali cannot match. She has a class and of course she is the BEST dressed lady on India or Pakistan's silver stage.

But she's not Talat. She's singing someone else's song doesn't mean she is not as good as Talat or someone else. We're all different. But we all learn or copy from someone. That is the reason we go to school. All text books are written by someone.

Honestly I am astonished to see the praise showered here for a much below rendition of the beautiful song though otherwise Manjri is a talented singer. Obviously here she bit into more then she could chew. And further astonished to see no mention of the maverick perfectionist composer Sajjad Hussain, a genius in his own right and forgotten.
