  • In this video we look at Maxchocks RV wheel chocks and see if they might be better than the X-Chocks we've been using now for over 5 years. Being able to use a drill and quickly run them in and out is one big bonus for us. We will be using these going forward and see just how much we like them and how they hold up long term. But we do love them so far and love the fact they store away in a nice case too.
If you're interested in trying some of these Maxchocks out you can click the link below!

You can turn the x chocks upside down if your wheel flare is in the way. This will allow you to tighten the bolt from the bottom avoiding damage to your hands.

Yep I’ve done that before! We now have a Class A which means no more dealing with that lol 😁

Loved my max chocks until the internal gears stripped out recently. Didn’t get 2 years out of them. Replacing with BAL x chocks.

That sucks! We have ours to a friend since we upgraded to class A. So far he’s had no issues. Hope that continues

Throw that ratchet in a jar of 75% diesel 25% used motor oil. Leave it a week and it’ll be good as new.

Nice! Would have used them on my Jayco hitched trailer. I don't need them on our new 2022 North Point 310 5th wheel. The 6 self leveling jacks hold this 36' rig firmly in place.

You know, you can turn them upside-down, right?

Amazon reviews make me worry. Not convinced about durability. BAL x chocks are so well made. I don't think I'll ever venture away from them. I've learned to install them upside down and save my knuckles. No drill required. I'm not overly concerned about the extra 10 seconds it may take to install. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your review.

Turn the X chock with the adjuster on the bottom and you won't skin your hand up.

I have done that too before but seems like sand at these campgrounds get in there more.

They look nice but doesn't look any easier than my x chocks. If I didn't already have them I might consider these.

Yeah similar but I like that I can run them with a drill real easy.

Those do look pretty nice. We have the X-chocks and hardly ever use them. The storage case is definitely a nice touch.

If you flip the X-chock over you can adjust it from the bottom and not scrape your knuckles.
That said, I want to upgrade to the Max-chocks. I’ve always said the glaring flaw on the X-chocks is that they didn’t out the adjustment on the front so you could use a drill. Now the glaring flaw on the Max-chock is that they use a 13mm hex to adjust; should’ve gone 9/16” so it would be the same as every stabilizer jack I’ve ever seen. Just one less tool to lose.

Hey you two, long time no comment from fellow Eagle HT 280RSOK weekenders. I was going to order these but I don't think we have the room with our 16" tires. Always great info from you. Thanks!

$19 difference - is the case and the fact you can use a drill to install worth the extra money? Maybe.

Wow really like those. Locks and all the attachments are awesome. Those are so much nicer than the X-Chocks. I wonder if they make them for spread axles like mine on the WhiteHawk?

I bought these a long time ago. They’re great. But the drill can torque the axels apart. So use caution.

My Maxchocks stripped easily on the first use. I do not recommend them.

Sent mine back and ordered the X chocks. I wouldn't recommend using a drill on the Maxchocks unless its a very low torque drill.

Give your X-chock wrench a shot of WD40 to free it up.
