Very helpful tutorial. Please tune the volume of the background music down a bit in your next videos. Especially in the second song it's louder than your voice and makes listening very challenging. Can't wait to sew my first pair of jeans following your instructions on pattern making and zipper sewing.

You are the greatest, Eric! Can't thank you enough for your videos and your expertise.
Two questions for you, if you do not mind of course.
    1. Is there any rule of thumb for zipper length as it relates to placket length? I see your placket in this instance was 7" and you used a 5.5" zipper which is consistent with several pants I own as well. But say I had an 6" placket-would I then go for a 4.5" zipper?
    2. Would it be possible to use the same placket/zipper fly length across several different sizes? Or would it typically be graded along with the other pieces as well so that each size uses a different placket/zipper length? Is it entirely a stylistic choice based on your own design? I have a pair of Levi's at 36x34 that seems to have an identical or very similar size fly as another pair at 30x30 despite having a different rise. I assumed, though, that would only work to a certain degree and that once your design got small or large enough you would want or need to increase or decrease the fly length.
I want to understand zippers entirely before I create my pattern in sizes as small as 26 and as large as 42.
