little tip for getting better times, you can actually walk through the funky demogorgon on door 100 when he jumps down and crouch right after you get onto the stairs which will save a little bit of time getting the key and since he goes into the other room you really dont have to worry about him for the rest of the run

It’s not a glitch, he’s just walking past the figure since it’s still in animation for a bit
This is not a funky demorgorgon this is the figure and the fact that he is in library first and needs you to make as little noise as possible means he is training you to act normally in librairies

For the last level with the fuse box, it's faster to flip all the switches on right before the number starts showing up than to switch them off after the number has shown up. Otherwise good run👍

I'm looking at this run, and now I'm noticing just how lucky you got. Sure, you got halt on like room 7, but you only got 1 key room and you only got 2 picture rooms. That's insane. That wr is gonna stand forever... Or at least until the next update.

This is the best Doors speedrun i’ve ever seen out of all of them. All of the other speed runs i’ve seen about Doors are mainly using the speed glitch to be faster. But this one is more special since you didn’t use that glitch or any glitch. This is definitely the most official doors speedrun and I adore this one. Nice run!

For the creature that comes when the lights flicker/shatter you can go into the next room and stay left or right cause it will only target you if you're in the room where the lights flickered. So at 10:45 you could have gone into the next room and go to the left corner and you will still be safe.
But closet is faster way to hide

wrong, rush only despawns when it hits closed door
incorrect rush continues until a closed door, however if there was a vent or a turn then he could've hid there
honestly after this game apeirophobia and mimic the feeling of getting chased, watched, and hunted in a game just feels exciting and gets your blood boiling and ready to start escaping and surviving

A nice tip:
Whenever rush comes, you can easily go to the corner to avoid him, rush only goes straight to the door meaning you can hide in the corner, his hit box doesn’t allow those behind or next to them
My brother tried it out when there weren’t any closest left.

I think it only work in some rooms cuz when i trio with stranger,and i there are only 2 closet so i hide in corner but i still got killed by rush :/
It only work for the large hallway I think, cause I did that the first time and I did survived. But the second time, with a smaller hallway, nope.

This doesn't work with Ambush though. He will get you anywhere if you aren't hiding.
i think this only works for parts of hallways that end with a boarded up door or a broken door also if you sit in the vent you can survive rush or ambush too

Could you explain what you're doing when you check up and down after entering a room? At 2:43, 10:17 and 12:40 for example. Is it to prevent Psst guy? How do you determine when to check? Like at 9:59 you knew to fend it off, even though the 'psst' happened long before.
it's better to get rid off screech when it isn't dark so you can't get lost for a short moment so that's why he ignores it
I guess it appears first then makes a sound, or maybe sometimes the sound doesn't happen
@@ethanw7416 probably his whisper means he has been with you for too long giving you like 10 secs to get it off but the speedrunner gets it off before he even warns him to save time
The screech could appear anytime if you enter a room without any light sources in it, I always check my back, above and below after I left the room before the "Psst" (way less riskier if you try to look for him while in the dark room) because you'll only have a short amount of time to look for him before it attacks, and you'll have almost no time to react to the sound in later floors

Theres a way to do it faster at room 100. You could actually walk past the Figure after the cutscene to go straight to the elevator to get the keys.
It would prob shave 20-30 seconds off your time
but risky though
@@proman24700 nope, it has 3-5 seconds to not notice u right after the cutscenes ends, u have to rush immediately to the elevator after the cutscene to pull it off perfectly.

Dude actually good job pure skill and without glitches those are legit speed runs in my opinion great job that was solid
I feel like door speedruns are really luck based since you gotta be lucky to get small/short rooms and rooms that don't need keys and get lucky to not run into monsters like halt that waste time while also not dying
yea he was really lucky not to get one of those massive rooms where you have to look for the key, and even worse if that room was in the dark
literally every speedrun game is based off of luck
The games about trial and error and the top runs don’t take 1 hour more like 1 month or more for a world record

a good tip for level 100, you are able to phase through the monster in the beginning while it is standing still. after the monster leaves the room it will not come back until you complete the breaker.

walking backwards instead of actually turning around during halt is so smart and can help losing your way in the dark room from turning around too much. very clever.

What I recommend doing here to save a little time is to just go straight up the stairs right when it starts, he wont go after you when you head to the elevator

well it's not supposed to happen, you're supposed to go backwards, hide then go to the elevator, but for whatever reason you can't because the cutscene ends late for the figure

Tips for Doors Monsters:
Name of monsters: Rush, Eyes, Seek, Halt, Hide, Screech, Ambush, The Figure, Glitch and Jack.
Rush: If the lights flicker, he’s near. Find a hiding spot as soon as possible.
Eyes: Don’t look at it when its there.
Seek: If you start seeing eyes staring at you, a chase is going to happen. If you see a big long hallway, the chase is going to start. Always look both direction. The lit up things can guide you. If you touch the fire, it damages your health.
Halt: If the screen flashes, it says “TURN AROUND” so walk the opposite direction.
Hide: If you stay in a hiding spot to long, he will damage your health.
Screech: Likes to lure in dark rooms, if you hear “PSST” try to find him and look at him to avoid him. If you don’t, he will jumpscare you and damage your health.
Ambush: It’s like Rush, but runs past twice. If you get out of the hiding spot, he will do it again for 2-4 times.
The Figure: It’s blind. If it’s near you, crouch, and walk past it. If it’s coming your way, find a hiding spot. There’s a catch though, you need to press Q and E to control your breathing and your heartbeat.
Glitch: If your stay behind your friends, he will jumpscare you and put you back to where your friends are.
Jack: Will jumpscare you when you enter a room or open a closet.
Timothy: He’s not a monster, but he is a spider. He spawns in drawers. He will jumpscare you and takes 5% of your health.
for screech, at first when I was playing this game, I didnt know anything so when I saw him, I stare at him and then look away. Thats explained why I got jumpscared. So as long as I keep staring at him, he wouldn't damage my health right?

Woah... I was not expecting the good of a speed run! This was very helpfull, as I usually never know what the hell I'm doing half of the time, this was AWESOME⭐
The fact he speedrunned the game is even scarier than the game itself
the fact this game literally forces you to avoid demonic beings from the deepest pits of hell just to get to your room
looking at the end cutscene its possible the next location is going to be a mine like area and maybe new monsters to escape from I'm just exited for an update revealing the next location ( really hope I spelled some words correctly )
This run was insane not only he got halt on room 7 but also encountered timothy while still trying to avoid halt

the code will be the pattern with the roman numerals and you have to go out by order

On the last level you are actually able to run up the stairwell to get the key right after the cutscene ends with the same results. This can save you around 13 seconds for this part.

oh nice, i learned something new from watching this, i noticed you check for the creature that lurks in the dark every time after you leave a dark room.
i just wish the stupid power box had a trick to it, it’s the hardest one for me and takes me a lot of tries
the trick for the power box is that you should only focus on turning ones on, because it resets after every completed bar, really helps if you can keep track of the number and the grid at the same time
@@takmenon4972 yeah it’s just that it goes so fast i can barely keep up. then if i make 1 mistake, i have a bunch of fuses on or off and the code is completely different so it’s just even harder to keep up so i panic and lose more progress lol

As someone who played doors for 10 minutes cause he thought a chase sequence was gonna happen and just dipped props to you
same I get really anxious in chase scenes like "run for your life" backrooms level or seek in this game

at Door 50 instead of clicking all the way to 7, 8 and 9 on the code you can right click and it goes down (its to type the codes faster)
at 13:54, for me the quickest and fastest way is to hide in a closet then wait for ambush to come then once he goes back you can go out then move then hide in the next closet ( I suggest closets that are near the exit ) or if you're hiding in a closet near the exit you can just go out then move in the next room ( Ambush can't come in the next room only the room you're hiding in. ) rather than waiting for him to be gone when speedrunning.

This could actually be retimed if we exempt the time spent on Seek's Chase cutscene, Figure's Cutscene in door 50 and door 100 and the fireplace going down in the paint puzzles from the run
at room 100 you can run past the monster after the cutscene while he is doing the climb up animation and then crouch when he finishes the animation, that way you get to the elevator faster
call me weird but I really like how they add sounds in the game. Especially walking and opening doors, it makes it more creepy.

what would you consider the hardest part of this speedrun? such as the riskier maneuvers in Entity or during Rush?
Tip for door 50. Stay crouched at all times and go to left side. Grab the paper and grab books that look out of place. Identify which shapes are on there and in what order they are in. You have to guess the last code. The figure won't attack while you are doing the code
actually i was attacked while i was putting the code in. I think he just got too close to me or something cuz something triggered him to sprint towards me.

When i tried beating the game, i would lose all the time, but when i kept wating other people beating the game, it engouraged me to keep trying and never give up. And now, im very good at it and i beated the game 5 times! And btw, you did a great job!

Good tip when playing doors:
If a light is broken by Rush or Ambush that doesn’t count as a dark room for Screech to spawn
Screech will spawn in naturally dark rooms (naturally dark rooms will make a noise when you enter it)
The reason why he was looking backwards before he exited a dark room was to make sure Screech didn’t follow him into that room (Screech has a chance to follow you into a room with light)
he got jumpscared by halt and timothy at the same time, and still knew what to do.

For a game that spawns randomly this was a pretty fast speed run
You got halt so early. And the first Timothy spider appearence was so unlucky lol.
I'll explain the animals better:
Rush: If you see the lights flashing, look for a locker immediately and hide there. When he passes you can leave
Ambush: His name is similar to Rush, because he is a more "upper" Rush. It will come and come back 1-6 times. So you come out of the closet, when I hear him again, he goes back to the closet
Eyes: Don't look at him under any circumstances. If you see a purple light or hear a weird sound, it's him. Enter the room looking at the floor already
Screech: When you enter a very dark room, the Screech has a chance of appearing for you. He will do a "pss" and when you hear it look around, up to the ceiling and floor, and when you see him, face him and he will walk away. Using a flashlight or lighter decreases the chances of him appearing (be careful he can do "pss" and not appear just to troll you)
You definitely took a lot of risks in this run, there are multiple ways it could've been shortened but it's still a pretty good run.

A Timothy jumpscare while in Halt? I can’t believe you didn’t get scared from that since you didn’t know that Timothy was gonna be there

this is really good, but you wasted like 20 seconds at 17:51 when you ran back into the room to hide, you can run past figure straight away because he doesn't start moving for like 2 seconds which is enough time for you to get upstairs and get the key
