My aunt lived in Utah in a town called Myton. And she use to go hiking through the mountains. To clarify, I don't doubt that they discuss sinister things at these sorts of gatherings - I suspect that when I made that comment I was referring to the "ritual" part itself. To me it just came across across as a weird camp tradition or play acting rather than something intrinsically esoteric, and they probably get to the backroom deals and shadowy agendas when they break for supper afterwards.

My great grandfather worked at the Bohemian Grove in the 1950's. He did maintenance and odd ends. He never really talked about what went on there, but he did mention the place made him unsettled.
