    London.
Various shots of traffic scenes in London. Cars and horsedrawn vehicles move about the streets. A small group of the Household Cavalry ride past. Good shot of an Underground sign in some parts. One sign suggests that the shots may have been filmed near Blackfriars. Close shots of bus and people getting off. More general traffic shots.
Pan down building to Underground sign. (Several takes) More traffic scenes.
N.B. Some of this material appears to be out takes from the movie 'Fires of Fates' - some shots are separated by clapperboards.

My mum and dad would of been alive back then. They absolutely loved London, returned on holiday in 2000 and told me to never go to England. They'd travelled the world and London had turned into something completely depressing for anyone with English heritage.

Interesting comment. I left London in the mid 70s. Best thing I ever did.

Amazing! I’m a bus driver, wish I drove in those days! People were so much more respectful.

This footage is 92 years old and I just wonder how many people are still alive who were born before this date

Interesting to see how tightly hemmed in by other buildings The Blackfriar pub was in those days!

Interesting fact at the time, that by law only 2 persons could legally stop a road motor vehicle, Police officer and a tram conducter.

Given how I'd like to *not* come into contact with a ca. 700v DC cable, I think a tram _conductor_ would easily stop me as a cyclist, too! 🚋⚡🚵🙃

Wasn't that the „junctions“ procedure from the 1932 edition of _The Highway Code?..._ 📚🇬🇧🙃

Regards the scene from about 04:00; I've a fairly strong knowledge of central Londons terrain and I can't seem to place where this was recorded, but my transport knowledge tells me that the only tram line to cross the Thames did so by means of Waterloo Bridge - The present bridge having been built in the late 30s or 40s, after this film was recorded. 🚽🌉🚋
Am I correct in thinking this may show the South Bank end of the original Waterloo bridge before the area was blitzed in the war then remodeled for the Festival of Britain? 🇬🇧😇

Rickets, no health service, low left expectancy, malnutrition, impending war. Yeah. Great times.

Did those buildings sink or was the ground raised? All cities are full of greedy people that are no more than debt slaves. Vehicles & roads ruin the world.
