Thank you for showing us the new "Dadiangas". I feel joyful and a bit teary-eyed on what I have missed in all these past years. Even now, I still recall the old fishport, Morrow Blvd., Pioneer Ave. and the old Lagao airport.

@@janijohnny I had a few visits to my relatives during my vacation from school in the late 50's and 60's. The last time I was there was in 1974-1975 and in hindsight, with some regret, I by-passed work opportunity to stay there for good. Hopefully, I am looking forward to the chance of visiting again in the near future.

Ang ganda ng mga trees along the highway. Sana, wag nilang hayaang putulin. As it is, kung ano pa yong pagkabarongbarong ng mga bahay, doon pa sila nagputol. Wag nilang gawing Tondo ang Gensan, at least mapaganda ng mga kahoy ang pagkadugyot nila
sad to say, andami na pong naputol na malalaking kahoy dahil sa road widening project. ala naman po sanang masama don kaso di na napalitan.

2014 since nakauli kog Gensan. Dili na ni familiar ning circumferential road. Pila ka minutes ni tanan from Acharon sa pag start sa video hangtud airport. Karemember ko sa Calumpang pa to sa una. Paano naging international airport po ang gensan? Prang wla nmang international flight jan?
Alternate international airport xa kasi. It was proposed nung may bombing sa davao airport dati (correct me kung mali ako) at na approved eventually. Renovation and expansion followed next. Natapos at na turned over last year.

I don't get it. Why there is a word 'international' in the name of the airport and there is not even a single international flight. It should be only called as GENERAL SANTOS CITY AIRPORT and nothing else. There are a bunch of major airports in the world with intensive international flights but no "International" in them like Amsterdam Schipol Airport in the Netherlands, Heathrow Airport in London, England, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in France and many others. It is very funny and foolish calling General Santos City International Airport with flights only going to Cebu or Manila.
Well they do have a customs and immigration services.

Correct. It is weird, Many airports here in our Philippines have the word International in their name but no international flights and are small compared to usual international airports overseas.
Because they are branded and gear towards improving their airport to cater international flights very soon. Don't you see it is still constructing? Just wait for it brother, don't haste especially that it's pandemic times still.
Flying during Extreme OverReaction would be a more appropriate title....
