- So we all know the controversy on the first Rose Gold Edition Eye Palette from Huda Beauty. Many loved it, while some could do without it. I decided to try and review the new REMASTERED Rose Gold Palette myself.

Amber Rose Oatman sounds great!
Great look... however, I really wish you would have done side by side swatches of the foil shadows considering they were the biggest issue of the old palette. This would have helped in making a more informed decision in purchasing the palette due to the mattes were not that big of concern to most.
Tracy Tanner I did do a swatch of just the rose gold shade from both palettes. I also mentioned they’re not as chunky and flaky as the original palette. Much smoother but very similar payoff on pigments!
Amber Rose Oatman Thank you for replying. My concern is that the swatch that had been done on the rose gold looked to be of a slightly different color and not as deep in pigmentation so it would have been nice to see the comparison with the other colors as well. Again, it would have been helpful. However, loved the tutorial.

Good Review! I purchased the original Rose Gold palette and I can understand why some would be upset, but I’m not upset. I love the original palette but it definitely isn’t a perfect palette, it has room for improvement and I understand why Huda Beauty would do a do over, Lol.
I purchased Desert Dusk also and it is definitely a better palette than her first one and I think she wants the Rose Gold to match in quality to her newer palettes including the small 9 pan palettes. I seldom rush out and buy makeup soon as it’s released. I watch a lot of reviews before I decide I want it, but I will most likely get the new Rose Gold palette, that way I have the improved shadows and the shadows I love in the original.
Morphe redid the 35O with the 35O2, and it is Everything I wanted the 35O to be. It’s a better palette in every way. Of course a Morphe palette doesn’t cost what we paid for the Rose Gold palette but I don’t think she was trying to get over, I think she recognized it isn’t the quality she wants her brand affiliated with.
I can’t wait to start getting PR like this. I just like the boxes and little things they add in more so than the product itself.

im SO excited for the palette colors right up my ally, but low key over seeing her face eyes and lips all over her packing. BUT this new one looks better than her look-a-like wet and wild palette with the plastic and can see the shadows before opening it.

I don't agree with harsh criticism of the packaging. They both have the same cardboard base. I much prefer a sturdy, clear plastic cover (glass could break) so I can see my shadows.

Am I the only one who prefers the old packaging? I don’t need a palette with some lady’s face on it (yes I know it’s huda but shes not famous enough to do that imo). The old lady rose design and cardboard just doesn’t inspire me. I personally never use mirrors in palette so, for me, thats not a selling point
🌯 I see your point . But if I had a palette I’d put my face on it lol. She’s very popular, and successful , Idk guess we view things differently! I love something that has it all, especially since I travel a lot and want a mirror within the palette. I just viewed the old packaging for 65, cheap. Wasn’t eye appealing and didn’t look worth the money, 🤷🏻♀️

I have over 300 palettes (yes, im gross) and the only one that has a real human face is the it cosmetics my sculpted face. It scares me lol.
the mirrors in my palettes always get dirty and I cannot be bothered to hold them up. Im a college student so I visit home, visit friends, go to music festivals and travel during breaks. I have only had to use a mirror for one trip because the hotel bathroom light was yellow so I couldn’t do my makeup in that mirror. Also, I mainly travel with small palettes. I only travelled with larger palettes like the naked palette when I first started wearing makeup, even then, I think it is more compact than this one.
It is impossible to please everyone

in advance i thank you for taking your time and giving us (your subscribers) your honest opinion and comparing both.Im on here to actually find out if the new one is worth it , with that being said its not that she didnt work hard and or put her heart and soul into it because shes done said it so many times that she worked her butt off on that palette and that was her baby , i truly dont think thats the case if anything i feel again my opinion that she has the money this time around to poor the right things into it and then some , i do agree for 65 dollars id expect alot more form that palette.

What do you mean your curious as to why there is "excess when you press on a shadow?" So it will pick up on a brush; if it's pressed too hard it'll be impossible to use.
skiproma2 one press to the shadow and it’s very messy. Fallout and you waste product. To me the powder is very fine. But I even said in the video when applying there was no fallout when I applied the shadow to my eyes. Just when dipping the brush into the palette!

I hate the fact that the original was so bad they had to remaster it. I have both her palettes and bought directly from Huda. Mua’s that originally purchased this should get a discount or something.
Thalia Mercado I understand. It’s kind of like a slap in the face pretty much that we spent money on the original and get crap and come out with a new one and still would have to pay. And I highly doubt Sephora’s and retailers will allow returns or exchanges due to their return policies. Sucks truly , I mentioned in another comment there will be some that will pay for it again while others will opt out due to this. 🤷🏻♀️😐

Wish I got the first rose palette the shimmers look so different in the remastered palette woulda loved to see u swatch all the foil shadows to compare them like u did for the one rose gold u used I like the one from the first palette was more lighter like a soft peach undertone rather thn the remastered one tht look more pink still pick the new one up but really wishing I got the first one lol great video love the eyelook

Get the Aphrodite palette on the shop HUSH app, it's a great dupe for the 1st one, for like $12, the Athena palette on there is a dupe for the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette. They have many, many dupe palettes that have made me return my high end palettes. The palettes made by Bad Habit are the best. Those shimmer/foils go on great using glitter glue and a silicone tipped applicator, like the one ELF sells.

Some of the original matte shades. Some of the Shades are slightly off in color. That was probably my main thing that I missed

GURRRRLLLLL.... that new palette shadows deadass look like a knockoff version of her palette. That’s how dry and dull it looks in that palette. It’s nasty looking to me. Huda products are trash as a whole anyway. Plus I will never support her brand after her racist shit that she STILL never apologize for smh.
