Sounds like a lot of scooter for the money. 59 miles of range sounds a bit optimistic. Wouldn't be surprised if it was more like 30. I would love one. Looking forward to the range test. Great review brother👊
the real range is around 20 miles at 15mph on flat ground, loads of people on Facebook are saying the same thing, there is a UA-cam video of a Range test doing 21 mi it's only a 12.5 ah battery
I really like my L9 but the only issue is while riding it on sidewalks screw get off and it is hard to find the new in stores. Other than that it is heavy scooter but worth the price.
price of the m365 standard with more performance than the ninebot max......plus full suspension.......damn thats attractive. hopefully apollo can get its hand on this and add it to their inventory.
It's an attractive package for sure. I'm also curious as to who's going to pick it up and sell it, but hard to beat or match that crowdfunding price I think.
Yeah, so unfortunately I wasn't recording. I think it was about a 25% grade hill for a few minutes of climbing. I weigh about ~190 lbs with all of my gear.
It’s hard to know without owning this scooter for a long time, but in general I’d say that lithium cells are good for a while, even after 5-7 years you should have like 90% capacity left. Personally I think it will be fine. Good luck with your decision.
How does it blow the ninebot away on price point, where I am the L9 is double the price at the moment. It's basically a ninebot with all the monorim modifications, which is great.
You're not suppose to turn it back on straight away. Same principle with computers and phones. Thankyou for the video. I can now decide whether or not to get one once UK gov gives us the green light to legalise them
@@AlienRides There's a very high possibility in which where I reside, that it will not be legalised. Only a portion of UK's County would be. Used many of the scooters in my European trips in the last couple years. really convenient.
Great review. Were you in sport mode on your hill test? It claims to be capable of 30 degree inclines. I recently purchased the Inmotion L9 in an international promotional sale, however shipping to USA is taking a while. I look forward to some fun on this scooter. My only concern is the non-adjustable handlebar height.
I was in sport mode, most scooters will have a fairly outlandish claim of both range and hill climb ability. Glad to put these to these to the test. I hope you like your new scooter when you get it!
Hi. I thought this scooter would climb to a 30% hill. Is your hill was that intense? I have the L6 model and i'm expecting the L9 scooter to climb better. I'm climbing a hill to go to work and my L6 is doing quite good but i have to jump off at one point. Do the L9 model will do the job more efficiently or there's no improvement on that?
Hello! I've never ridden the L6, but I'm finding the L9 to be quite a nice scooter. I personally wasn't able to get up a 30% hill, maybe a 20% hill or so. I feel like it should be better than the L6 though?
In your opinion, what's the best electric scooter out there right now? I currently have an Emove Cruiser, but I want a 2nd scooter that goes faster and can also fit in the trunk of my Honda Civic.
Best is hard to say, something like a Rion or Weped SS will cost you about $7k, they'll both fit into the back of an SUV, not sure about trunk of a Honda Civic. Possibly the Dualtron Eagle Pro could be a good option for you? ua-cam.com/video/ejCkminsTss/v-deo.html
This is actually at the alemany farmers market, nice little spot, but I think there's better places to ride around. Come out for a baesk8 group ride once this pandemic is over.
Last year at some point I was looking at buying a scooter, but got side tracked and bought a Z10 EUC instead. But it looks like scooters will soon be legal here in the U.k and I commented at the time on your impressions of the Speedway V. I still love the look of it, but has anything come along since then at a similar price to rival it? Cheers
Hey, awesome on the purchase of the EUC, they're really portable and fun vehicles. Since then you might check out the Dualtron Eagle Pro. I'm recommending that over the Speedway V, but both are awesome scooters.
Good points, should definitely talk about that in future videos. It rides really great, turning, carving, all fine. I did find the handlebars a little high which I mention, but besides that it's very similar to most commuter scooters in this category. (Xiaomi, Ninebot, etc)
I have Ninebot Max and Inmotion has actively adversited L9 as "successor" of Max. But Max has a lesser weight of 4kg, same speed limit of 18.6 mph and it is smaller. Should I change my Max for the longest range and how is the build quality of this scooter?
I think the build quality of the Inmotion is quite good. I do think it will have longer range than the Max as well. Personally I would probably go for the L9 over the max, but I'm not sure it's a big enough upgrade to switch your max for if it's working well.
Overheating function is a gud idea but I can’t imagine being stuck on the road to work, then waiting for it to cool..may be they’ve enhanced it since the video is 6 months old
There are so many scooters coming out everyday....hard to make up my mind. I was looking at the Inokim OXO...can anyone offer an opinion on this scooter? Is it any good? It will be my first scooter.
I honestly think it's pretty hard to beat the price point that this scooter is coming in at. It may not be as sexy as the OXO, but I think it's got really good value. Making a decision on which one to buy is definitely the hardest!
Great Xiaomi/Ninebot alternative but its way too heavy and it seems Inmotion has quite a lot of work to do to fix the flaws of the L9 prior to mass market launch. Will see what other reviewers like Ben Fox has to say hehe!
Yeah, it's definitely a bit more bulky compared to the Xiaomi/Ninebot alternatives. I've heard that Inmotion is already at work improving stuff for the first units shipped. Range test on this soon!
my m365 battery gets hot too going up hill, not sure how hard to push it, seen about 110 degrees on battery but I will walk and scoot up hill, anyone know if m365 shuts down or lets you know its hot? I have original not pro which has indicator on scooter when hot
Yeah, that's a good question. I haven't heard of too many m365 blown controllers so I would assume it's ok, but it's good to know for sure. Let's see if anyone chimes in.
gtone339 yes, I think it is very similar to those models, but maybe the inmotion has better bang for your buck compared to the others. Really great deal on the crowdfunding campaign I think.
Been eyeing this scooter on indiegogo for the last couple weeks, just not sure how reliable indiegogo is with shipping or will I even get this scooter if I pay the perk to buy 2 or them. :/
Yeah, what R Jane said. Personally myself I'm very wary of Indiegogo after being burned several times, but I do think that this one will ship as Inmotion is a fairly experienced manufacturer and the units are basically done.
I haven't done the full range test yet, hope to soon. The top speed is about 18mph, but I think it's got more in there, maybe you could unlock it in the future 🤔
I'm thinking of upgrading to this from my Xiaomi M365, but my height is only 5'3" lol. Do you know the exact stem height? Would you be able to recommend this for me or is it too high for me to comfortably ride on? :) Thanks :)
I do think that the stem might be a little bit high in the current form for you, but maybe you could get used to it. I think it would be a nice upgrade over the M365 for sure.
That was a great video, If I wanted one just for commuting that would probably be the one I would go for , to me after having the Thunder that thing is light, I could throw that in one of the side cases in my Motorhome where I have no chance of that with the thunder , Plus $500 ? cheap as chips only a few days wage, its something I would tell my friends about because everybody thinks I am MAD for paying over £3000 for a scooter you could probably doulbe that with the mods haha, Thanks for the video I'll be passing it on. Ray K. UK. YNWA. oh what was the charge time with the fast charge ?
Yeah I think most people on the planet look at us for buying a Dualtron or Weped like we're crazy. It's good to have different models to get them hooked, then they can upgrade in the future. Fast charging time was about ~3.6 hours.
No, that's a total scam and I've been fighting to take a lot of them down. Could you link me that site if you have it handy? If not no worries. Only buy from trusted sellers, or ones that influencers recommend. Good luck and stay safe.

@@AlienRides And you are right in my hood since I'm on the Mission side of Bernal. On a positive note, my Dualtron 3 can make it up Folsom to Bernal Hills Park without issue, but as we know, not all scooters are created equal.
JanSolo awesome. Bernal heights park is amazing and I really want to do some more filming there, just so many people always out there. Maybe I’ll try on a weekday early though.
Alien Rides For reals! You can check out my motorcycle, lol. You aren’t too far away from McLaren Park now. Not too many people there and it’s a huge park. I go there a lot(pre Coronavirus) with my kids.
Awesome, suspension is the key with the scooters👌😎
It helps a lot for sure!
Wheel size is just as important or more
Kevin, I love electric scooters so much 😭 that I think I need help... I can even watch a 30min video of a scooter in a different language with no english subtitles 😅
Hahaha, they are addictive for sure. Happy to be able to feed the addiction! 😁
You're not the only one 😔
Me too! What are you looking forward to buy?
Sounds like a lot of scooter for the money. 59 miles of range sounds a bit optimistic. Wouldn't be surprised if it was more like 30. I would love one. Looking forward to the range test. Great review brother👊
Chuck Temple said he got about 31.1 miles on his range test.
That's cool, didn't know that Chuck tested it. Hope to do a range test myself, and push it hard the entire way 😅
the real range is around
20 miles at 15mph on flat ground, loads of people on Facebook are saying the same thing, there is a UA-cam video of a Range test doing 21 mi
it's only a 12.5 ah battery
I really like my L9 but the only issue is while riding it on sidewalks screw get off and it is hard to find the new in stores.
Other than that it is heavy scooter but worth the price.
Pretty impressive for the money.
Yeah, I think it's a pretty solid deal for sure.
price of the m365 standard with more performance than the ninebot max......plus full suspension.......damn thats attractive. hopefully apollo can get its hand on this and add it to their inventory.
OK DOK I doubt it since Inmotion got their own seller in Ottawa
It's an attractive package for sure. I'm also curious as to who's going to pick it up and sell it, but hard to beat or match that crowdfunding price I think.
Can I buy it from that website and is it a preorder
rear tire wrong rotation direction from the box
Oh wow you have amazing eyes, I didn't even realize that! That's something they should definitely correct, I'll give them that feedback.
Can we know under what exact circumstances the cut occurred?
Yeah, so unfortunately I wasn't recording. I think it was about a 25% grade hill for a few minutes of climbing. I weigh about ~190 lbs with all of my gear.
I like the sport mode feature
Always gotta be in sports mode. 👽🖖
Hello, I also want to buy one, but I don't know if its battery can be weakened, what do you think ??
It’s hard to know without owning this scooter for a long time, but in general I’d say that lithium cells are good for a while, even after 5-7 years you should have like 90% capacity left. Personally I think it will be fine. Good luck with your decision.
@@AlienRides ok thank you very much for the help❤!!!
Great aerial shots! What drone do you use?
I’m currently using the Skydio 2, it’s a lot of fun to make videos with it, great auto-tracking.
SKYDIO 2 Is really a sports drone love it..
It's so much fun to use to make videos. Definitely going to be doing a lot more with it.
How does it blow the ninebot away on price point, where I am the L9 is double the price at the moment. It's basically a ninebot with all the monorim modifications, which is great.
Yeah. I think the price of the L9 did go up a little bit, the ninebot is definitely cheaper 👽🖖
I need help
Does anyone know where I can find the screws which are on the hook and side of the bars?
Looks solid and comfortable to look at. I guess it's pretty good
It's a pretty nice commuter scooter for sure!
From crazy shoes to crazy value 😁
Gotta get that crazy clickbait somehow 😆
Suspension looks legit 👌🏻 I often saw the ads of this scooter on FB but the web is just seems dodgy.
Yeah, it's actually a really solid suspension for this small package. I think you can trust the Indiegogo to ship, one of the few I would trust.
You're not suppose to turn it back on straight away. Same principle with computers and phones. Thankyou for the video. I can now decide whether or not to get one once UK gov gives us the green light to legalise them
I really hope they become officially legal soon in the UK, it's just a matter of time. I do think this would be a nice little package to get.
That drone really awesome too!!!
Are you flying the drone while you are riding?
@@suziez1627 I'm pretty sure it's flying itself in this case, autopilot, using Active Track.
Hey there! I live in the Bay Area too! where is that dope empty parking lot so I can take my e-scooter, and e-board? I'd love to joy ride there :)
Alien Rides Thanks man, I’ll be sure to check it out 😊
Does anyone know any Website that will deliver this to Serbia. Great video👍
I don't right now but I hope you can find a good local dealer in the near future. 👽🖖
How does it perform when it comes to turning? And manoeuvring?
Hi mate, thank you for the great video. Could you please tell me the size and weight of the box? Thank you. 1:06
Sure, I've actually got the dimensions and info from fedex still so it's easy. 68.2 lbs, 52x29x11 in.. Not a small box at all!
Alien Rides thanks mate for your time. Highly appreciated.
Overheating function is a gud idea but I can’t imagine being stuck on the road to work, then waiting for it to cool..may be they’ve enhanced it since the video is 6 months old
Yeah, I'm hoping it's fixed, and also likely not a problem for most folks if there's not as many hills as San Francisco.
I’ve been thinking about the Emove Touring for my first scooter.
@@AlienRides Nice! Looking forward to the range test in Sports mode. 😉
my m365 battery gets hot too going up hill, not sure how hard to push it, seen about 110 degrees on battery but I will walk and scoot up hill, anyone know if m365 shuts down or lets you know its hot? I have original not pro which has indicator on scooter when hot
Yeah, that's a good question. I haven't heard of too many m365 blown controllers so I would assume it's ok, but it's good to know for sure. Let's see if anyone chimes in.
Alien Rides another great video!👍🏻
Thanks for stopping by this older video
2:37 3:30 all of cats have emotions but this one is science!!
😻
Great find with the over heating!
Thanks, yeah it was interesting to discover for sure. Hopefully they'll still let me test future models 😆
@@AlienRides Will you compare it to the Ninebot Max and the Xiaomi Pro?
gtone339 yes, I think it is very similar to those models, but maybe the inmotion has better bang for your buck compared to the others. Really great deal on the crowdfunding campaign I think.
@@AlienRides they better...😆
@@AlienRides I don't usually fund any crowdfunding projects but its best to wait till its out in the market.
Been eyeing this scooter on indiegogo for the last couple weeks, just not sure how reliable indiegogo is with shipping or will I even get this scooter if I pay the perk to buy 2 or them. :/
INMOTION is not a new player in scooter, they would deliver it
Yeah, what R Jane said. Personally myself I'm very wary of Indiegogo after being burned several times, but I do think that this one will ship as Inmotion is a fairly experienced manufacturer and the units are basically done.
Have you done 59 miles range on scooter and how fast...35 miles per hour or? Thank you.
I haven't done the full range test yet, hope to soon. The top speed is about 18mph, but I think it's got more in there, maybe you could unlock it in the future 🤔
KMH to MPH conversion convertsumo.com/43-kmh-to-mph/
Should I buy a g-booster or kugoo m4 or L9? Thank you.
Flash that’s a good question, I need to look those scooters up. Right now I’d actually recommend this inmotion, hard to beat the specs for the price
Where can I get the seat attachment? Can anyone help?
Sadly I'm not sure. It's still a fairly new scooter, so you may have to wait until more parts become available.
Is very good electric scooter. Is a best scooter, the Titan, In Motion! I like ❤️
I'm thinking of upgrading to this from my Xiaomi M365, but my height is only 5'3" lol.
@@AlienRides Thank you :) I will take that into consideration :)
Dualtron: Good job my little boy
Glad I could make papa Dualtron proud 🤗
@@AlienRides also Dualtron:
Thats cute
Saw a picture from this video on a review site. They are selling the same scooter for $240. Not sure if it’s a scam site unless your name is jesse?
No, that's a total scam and I've been fighting to take a lot of them down. Could you link me that site if you have it handy? If not no worries. Only buy from trusted sellers, or ones that influencers recommend. Good luck and stay safe.
Alien Rides so I went to Facebook market place typed in electric scooters and it popped up in an ad form. They used a pic of you under the page’s review for the scooter. Of course I can’t copy the url. I got a screen shoot of the page though. Don’t know if I can add a pic in the comments though.
Hello how are you? Beautiful this scooter, Congratulations for the video always number one.
Thanks for stopping by, it's a nice little scooter for sure!
Is the drone controller inside your backpack?
I'm using the Skydio 2, no controller necessary! Check it out: ua-cam.com/video/ZQgNIOIzR6c/v-deo.html
Thanks for doing that review - on point as always!
I can flog the L8f's all day long and it seems like this may be a winner to? Bit heavy for my clientele but a nice scooter all the same and I'm sure that will not be an issue once I put my selling hat on and get my existing L8f owners to step-up, and a good price too huh!
I've built up a good relationship with Inmotion so, I'm sure they will sort me out a good deal once it goes on general sale...
Great vid - be safe yeah :-)
Nice seeing you again! I agree that the L9 will be a nice step up from the L8F. They should see much more range and comfort. Hope you get a good deal, going to be hard for them to beat their indiegogo campaign, it's pretty low for the scooter I think.
Suggested retail price of the L9 is $899USD
@@AlienRides Yeah the Indigogo price is good but was never too sure about them, but Inmotion are a reputable company so I may just get one off that to start with - thanks for the vote of confidence yeah.
i was set ready to go for the nine bot but now i dont know this one might be better,
what would happen if it broke? have to send it t o china,
I do think that I like this scooter more than ninebot scooters, but you do raise a good point, it's important to be able to repair these. In this case I think you'd need to find a local inmotion dealer to take care of the problem, I'm not sure where all of the local dealers are. 👽🖖

the scooter culture here wants to really take off. but it doesnt have great dealers or repair shops. from what i see it needs a miami scooter,
something that goes 80 miles minimum, impervious to the elements, slightly flashy
but a profile that exists with municipal requirements. have a portable battery for re charging.
under 1000 dollars cuase the avg salaries for decades here has been 25 to 35 k.

I just bought a 30mph scooter, what helmet do u recommend thats cool
Congrats on the new scooter purchase! Lots of options for a helmet, it depends on the style you're looking for. 30mph is pretty fast though so I'd recommend a full face helmet. Maybe one of these?
This is what I'm currently using: amzn.to/2LOGlm3
But you can use a DOT rated one perhaps, or something like the TSG pass.

Great video dude I doubt the 59 miles of range, I don’t even get that on my EMOVE CRUISER so probably more like 33 miles?? Peace my friend
Yeah, we're going to do a real-world range test on it soon. The E-move is probably one of the undisputed range kings of the scooter world, hope you're enjoying it!
The only thing... can I easily get a new battery?
Where can it be replaced? This is the problem with the L4 model.
I believe they have a six month warranty on the battery, so if it's toast within that timeframe you should get a new one for free. After that I'd hope you could purchase one from inmotion or a dealer, but I don't have experience with that myself.
One video said 40lbs and this one said 52lbs ??? = Huge difference!
Hmm, definitely felt heavier than 40 lbs to me, but let me try to weigh it later and get back to you.

How did it compare to the Widewheel Pro ?
Bit of a different beast, since this is only single motor it's not going to be as performant as the WideWheel, but it also costs a lot less as well.
@@AlienRides thanks, how would it compare with hill climbs ?
Jzm Apex dual motors will always do better on hill climbs, so the WideWheel would win
@@AlienRides I did wonder that!, I've already ordered both the L9 and Widewheel Pro (not arrived yet) I have quite a hilly commute to work hence the question.. thanks !
What’s the top speed?

Ok ty
Everything's good about this scooter, suspension, 10" tires, huge battery, but only 18 mph is really bad, for me a deal-breaker.
You're right, it's definitely a nice package, but it's not the fastest. Good for getting into the hobby or a first scooter though.

Lol maybe, but I do think it's pretty unique compared to other models.
Its display looks pretty rad in person, and is hi res. It also has a number of cool and useful features, like displaying speed on a decimal scale and turn signal indicators. You'd possibly grow to prefer its design over time, with how it's laid out.
