@bionictrucker1 There's an STC to drop in an Allison/RR PT-6. Not sure of the specifics, but I hear it's a popular conversion for Hillers that do a lot of lift work.
AhHa!!! That's whose doing the Chemtrails! 😁😂🤣 Teasing.... Beautiful UH12 Soloy! I flew one in Tulsa Oklahoma spreading a weed killer over the Kentucky Bluegrass fields. It had the old Franklin engine. They're like a Tractor with rotors. Great Machines.
THAT RITE THERE IS A PERTY NEAT LOOKIN HILLERUH12! NEVER SEEN A TURBINE VERSION BEFORE. ALWAYS WITH THE PISTON ENGINES. HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO DO THE CONVERSION? WAS IT HARD TO FIND A MATCH FER THE TRANSMISSION GEARBOX, TAIL ROTOR DRIVE SHAFT, & TAIL ROTOR GEAR BOX? HOW OLD IS THE BIRD? HOW MANY HOURS ARE ON THE BIRD?
RODNEY L. Soloy conversions built the gear boxes and kit to convert to Allison 250 power. I maintained that ship for many years. Awesome pilot right there!
I know most people don't do this but me looking at an exposed shaft of the tail rotor just makes me happy
She sounds purty good with that jet turbine powerplant!!!
This video is 14 years old, I wonder if that Turbine Hiller is still flying
She is a cool sounding ole bird for sure.
What a great helicopter please bring them back to full production what a beautiful girl of the sky

Was that weed killer it was dispensing? I was trying to figure that out.
Agent Orange, empires always end up attacking (poisoning in this case) it's own population
You can probably find Soloy conversion using Google that describes the turbine conversion.
What kind of poison is it spreading?
Didn’t ask….
