I know the bleach bypass film simulation is a favorite of a lot of Ricoh GR III and Fujifilm photographers, but I’ve never fallen in love with it. That said, last week, I attempted to make a film recipe using Ricoh’s pre-installed picture profile. I added a lot of saturation and a fair bit of contrast and I’m happy with the results. I’m going to call this recipe Summer Bleach Film.

Not for every day or situation but I love this look for certain scenes and creating a mood.

Is it possible to create simulations directly in the room as with Fuji? All the simulations are very interesting.

I'm not sure i understand what you mean by "directly in the room." You can make them directly in the camera without additional software or post-processing.

@@LukeTaylorPhotography I guess what he means is, something like with Fujifilm X Raw Studio but for Ricoh, where you can edit it on your PC but trough the camera which is connected to the PC while you editing your pictures. It is useful because you could make presets in such a program and than use it on different pictures to see how it looks. It is a bit cumbersome to edit a simulation in camera, you have to rely on the screen of the camera which isn't always accurate.
In addition, you are limited to the respective lighting conditions and the weather that prevail while you want to create the simulation. If you find something you like under the current conditions, then you have to wait until the time of day or the weather changes and then revise it again so that it also suits the changed conditions, but then again maybe it no longer suits the look you liked before. But with a software like the one from Fuji, you could just load a bunch of RAW images into the program and apply your simulation to all of them at once to see how it works out under different circumstances.
I don't know of anything that works similarly for the Ricoh like the Fuji software does. Hopefully something will happen in the future and Ricoh will introduce something similar. I'm really excited about all of your simulations so far, thanks for that! And as I said, I personally don't enjoy fumbling around blindly in the camera's menu until something happens to fit and then hoping that it looks good under different conditions as well. I'm too impatient for that and don't have enough understanding of how all the controls and settings work in practice to create efficient simulations. I am all the more grateful for your great work, please keep it up!

@@LukeTaylorPhotography scusa per la traduzione, si intendevo realizzare le simulazioni pellicole direttamente sulla fotocamera come per le fotocamere Fuji con FUJI X WEEKLY.

@@massimobernardoni8741 Yes, you can make them directly in the camera and they are applied to the JPEG files.
