I miss this version of Wolverien. He used to be a lot tougher, smarter and scarier. The pages describing how he literally can't stop smiling while murdering/getting his face wrecked by Spidey is terrifying to think about. @@AivarSablinski4705 Comics have always been political since the industry's birth. Marvel's political bias on the under hand have been toned down for most part currently. However, their are some PC their. It's enough for the Anti SJW'S to use that to weponize these exploits and twist the truth like it was never toned down to push their own agenda. They used to noble and altruistic but they became as bad as their enemies.

      @@UnrealNeoBat Yeah right.
It doesn't stop Marvel from releasing or announce very bad comics that are still filled with those annoying "modern" politics. But sure, maybe not all new comics are bad, but it doesn't change the fact that there's still a bunch of these scummy people working there. Like take Twitter for example, these Marvel "writes" keep battling with the fans that they still have left... That's fucked up, especially when some of those assholes tell fans to fuck off or just not buy their books. That's truly amazing. The whole head of Marvel comics should be replaced in my opinion, or this bullshit will never stop. As long as those idiots exist, their sales will continue to tank. Why can't they just keep their mouths shut at least... oh yeah, "freedom of speech" or at least it works if you have the "correct" political mindset. I just wish that things were simple... I'm really tired of these stupid politics and double standards. And don't even try to tell me that double standards doesn't exist!
It's very sad that I just can't enjoy Marvel anymore like in early 2000s, I really wanna enjoy 'em, but when I hear or see bullshit - it turns me off real quick. But hey, if you still like Marvel, then like 'em. And I'll just buy good old comics in the meantime.

I lost all my early-mid 1990s home videos I made of my sister, our friends, and myself dancing, making workout videos, and our own soap operas from ages 4-15, in a storage unit, because my Dad just got rid of everything in there without asking (hes a huge a-hole). All my (relatively few) trophies, karate belts and gis, even most photos of me as a child, pokemon cards including first edition charizard and nine tails, all my elementary school honor rolls, and every animal statue I had collected from age 4-18. So don’t feel to bad…
I was young, like 18, and didn’t know storage unit meant rat and roach infested garage in Myrtle Beach, SC, when we lived in Maryland (granted, he didn’t tell me. He just said “give me anything you want to store and protect for the next few years while we wait to move down there). The stuff was in there for like 10 years, and time flies especially when you have kids young, everything was all so covered in rat urine and feces and stuff that he threw it all away. Had I known that it was such a dump he put it in, then I would not have literally given him everyrhing important to me to store. I thought I was protecting all of it, not sentencing it all to their doom. So horrible. I try not to think about it, because he already gave me ptsd growing up. He was a Capitol Police Lieutenant, and a big time domestic abuser.
I don’t know why I’m saying “was”. He’s still alive. Turned 74 in June, but you’d think he was 63 and in great health, and that he dyes his hair, but no, he somehow just has less grey hair st 74 than I do at 36. I guess being a narcissist, and the victim of a narcissist, could have that effect. At least my body is way better than his was at my age, and my face looks younger if I get a fade and hide all the grey on the side of my head… thankfully its mainly on the side. I also cut my beard short, like a 2 guard, and it hides the grey on my chin, just makes it look blonde and hides it well. My beard is 4 colors, brown, red, blonde, and grey. With the proper haircut I could absolutely still pass for 24 easily. Kind if like Oscar Isaac. I almost think he looks the same or younger than he did in 2015 when he was my age, other than the grey hair. He has more than I do though. For some reason when it’s been cut to a 1 guard it looks brown and not grey anymore. Sorry now I’m just rambling lol.

@@cdub628 Don,t like how it makes Spiderman out to be such a naive babe in woods type & Wolverine this tactical know it all. I love this comic though as far as Spidey/Wolvie team ups go the Marvel Team Up # 117 is tops, they,re both childish, flamboyant & overbearing in that issue though Spidey seems more like the wise adult grown up in that issue. Wolvie just seems like the kid who wants to slash everything & ask questions later in that story, now in this book he,s a big serious tactical expert & all mature & grown up next to Spidey, c,mon. I know the Wolverine limited series supposed to have changed him and made him more focused & more civilized & knowing when to act & fight not just be a powder keg about to go off anytime, though Spidey,s pretty cool & all too. I guess it,s easier for him to deal with the Punisher knowing he is crazy, not so multi personality layered like Wolverine is? The Foreigner,s goons killed Ned Leeds, I have Amazing Spiderman # 289, not the German agents, right? Right?

Spider man was my favorite as a kid but this shows what a badass wolverine was back then. When Marvel was better at this whole comic thing, wolverine was popular for a reason. Dude was just a tough little piece of iron.
PS: love the sound effects. The web thwips during Spideys monologues was a nice touch.
Double PS: 😂 the voice for Victor

Not sure when it came out, but I read this in 1988 in high school with my drawing/Martial arts buddy Anwa. This was right when Todd McFarlane took over pencils for Spidey. The writing had me intrigued and laughing as a 17 year old. Reading it now, I realize how genius and advanced the writing was, especially for a comic book.

It's a shame it's not really possible to read the script aloud without giving the game away that Charlie's a woman. The creators obviously went to a lot of trouble to work up to a surprise reveal. Nicely read though!

Does anybody get the sense that Peter stalking Wolverine out of curiousity or concern is the crux of this story? Like had he just avoided sticking his nose in his business not only would Peter not be traumatized, but Wolverine could follow with Charlie's wishes. Spider-Man in this story feels genuinely unecessary but this was a very good dub.
