    Why we need cover all nest with Plain Parafin candle buddy?

      The wax serves a few purposes. It seals the grout and brings out its true colour. It helps keep humidity slightly higher inside the nest. Also it will be easier to clean when the time comes to move the colony and reuse the nest.

      The orange is just the protective cover. The acrylic is clear. I've used glass before but I can cut acrylic into any shape I like. Thanks for taking a look.

      @@Toxin1xx grout is made with cement and plaster from calcium sulphate. Grout is much stronger and less likely to mould.

      @@Toxin1xx I don't see why not. Plaster will be easier to work with but won't last as long.

    Great work makes me cringe that your not wearing cut resistant gloves. They wouldn't stop a grinder but they do give a split second to move .

      Thanks friend. I've been a floor and wall tiler for over 20 years and am quite confident with a diamond saw but your right, safety first. 🙂
