Thanks Andy. You have an easy to listen to teaching style and combine playing tunes with a healthy dose of theory. Lovely arrangement of Autumn Leaves.
Excellent interprétation. I love that song too , but it's too bad because this Gibson does'nt exist for lef handed ......Thk u ....Your friend from Belgium 😉
Nice arrangement! I think on acoustic guitars the strings matter more. Rounds are really nice on them. I think 13s sound good, but they can be kind of cumbersome unless you are just playing old school rhythm. 12s can be nice, just not as stout. They do sustain better, though. Nice bounce to the attack and decay, more emoting to be had. As always, it seems like these things are all trade-offs.
You could create your own mixed set. Mine is a combination of all rounds 12s for the E A D, 13s for G and B, and a single 14 for the high E. That's for my AR 803 Eastman set-in-body humbucker. I don't have any acoustic material on my channel, but I do have stuff electrified. Acoustically, my guitar is still loud enough for small combo 4-to-the-floor playing behind a soloist.
@@jazzguitarwithandy I'm lucky to have a 1937 L7 which really came alive when I but a set of Martin Monel's 12 set on. That's a lovely arrangement and great playing of Autumn Leaves.
@@jazzguitarwithandy Who said I used Thomastiks? John Pearse and D'Addario. I never liked Thomastiks--I want a round wound that is bright from the start. Even the Bebop set sounded dull to me. Some people use expensive strings, but I like to spend money on an expensive pick (odd how the former is normal and the latter is weird).

Thanks Ian - that feedback is much appreciated 🙏
Very dramatic and very emotive. Well done!
Thanks Mike!
What a cool arrangement! Very nice Andy! One of my favorite jazz tunes to play
Thanks 🙏 I never tire of this song.
Very nice
Thanks Matthew

Thanks! It really does suck that manufacturers don't cater for left handers, it must be so frustrating!
Honestly, it’s a perfectly symmetrical shape, you could just get a left handed nut and play it upside down with zero issue except not having side dots
@@handwriting8804 very true
If anyone is thinking of getting any tier of his Patreon.. do it.
Thank you - that's very kind of you to say 🙏 And a nice comment to wake up to ☕️
I am sad, the leaves are falling, a chil is in the air, and autumn leaves green, yellow, and orange; colors the newly frosted the ground.

I think I might go to 13s with my next string change. You're very correct about trade-offs - will have to see.
Interesting idea, would get expensive with Thomastiks though!
