- Bandit has big bore shocks, wheel bearings, Slash front springs and J Concepts Groovy soft compound front tires, Bandit is also running a Traxxas Stinger motor with 21/83 gearing.
B3 is a Team kit but unknown suspension and tire setup, its running a 17x2 motor with unknown gearing.
There's also a Tamiya Grasshopper on the track with a new driver haha.
Awesome track, make me want to build one in my yard too
very nice backyard track and cool race. The grasshopper stole the show for me😊😊
That track looks super fun
Yeah it's pretty cool. We're still looking for way to keep the dirt wet so we don't loose grip.
Theres a conditioner they use in dirt or clay to keep it well compacted and some what wet
Had a nitro sport, a few rustlers and a stampede growing up among others from hpi to tamiya, team associated and losi. I had a b3 but never a bandit and have been debating on getting one. Never thought it would handle this good, I'm impressed. Cool video!!
The Bandit does take a little tuning to make it compete. All I did was add weight to the front and change the front shock oil and springs. I also installed soft compound front tires. It really does work well on older style tracks like this.
Awesome bandit and track brotha
Very cool!
Thanks!
Just trying to get an idea if the Bandit is a decent first car for my son. I figured a B3 would destroy one same driver each car.. maybe not. But you would think so since the b3 is a legit race buggy. The thing that the Bandit should be good for is being able to get parts :)
The Bandit is a very dated platform so is the B3 haha. The Bandit actually competes with the B3 very well. In fact with a good driver they're both about the same once the suspension and tires are sorted out on both platforms.
As for a good starter buggy the bandit is great since it's affordable and very easy to find parts for. Plus they're dirt cheap. I'd recommend buying the Bandit XL5 as a starter. The Bandit VXL will do about 50mph with a 2S pack and about 70mph with a 3S pack! The XL5 on the other hand will do about 30 mph or so. The Bandit also has allot of under steer which makes for a fairly stable buggy if given to someone who hasn't used a good RC before. Also on a side note the bandit in this video was running a Traxxas Stinger motor which is fairly gutless. Good for a small track like this one. The Bandit XL5 comes with the Traxxas Titan motor which has plenty of torque and top end to have fun with.
@@RobertNES816 Thanks for that great info !:). I've been trying to fully complete 3 Vintage RC10s but the price of parts is very crazy now. I could for the same price just buy a B6... I think I'll end up just completing one RC10 for myself and some spares as that's what I raced back in the day and get the son a Bandit.
@@greenfoam no problem 😁. Just be careful though. The Bandit is a tank when compared against the vintage stuff.
That track looks awfully familiar :)
"How much you pay for that?" .. $40 .. "Does it have reverse?" .. umm..
Which car?
@@harrydods9843 Probably talking about the Grasshopper.
Whats the dimensions of that track? Very nice setup.
Now you'll need nite lighting ,teach little brother or sister to corner Marshall 😄have fun 👍
Is this a track in your yard?!
