That was a better football play rundown than any I have seen on ESPN.
I really hope this takes off and we get some of the Korean pros to play BAR.
I liked the icons at a light distance, like you settled on. Good cast, thanks.
I think the icons at light distance like right now strikes a good balance between showing the unit types while not overshadowing the actual models. Excited for more of your casts from the tourney
at 20:00 when all those bots came running over the hill with their tiny little legs kicking so fast HAHAHA
1:40 "other strategy words" laughing out the gate lol
Man, that Shurikan rescue at the beginning definitely changed the course of this match.
Also, it's interesting to see how the best players on each team were on opposite ends of the map, making a kind of yin yang symbol of territory.
I prefer the icons, not for the unit types so much as the colours. It's easy to get confused as to what units belong to which team without them.
fully agreed
I really like the no icons mode, makes the game look much cooler when you can actually see the action
Ooo! Very nice game! Loved seeing how the fast raider T3 were so potent. A welcome change from how Supreme Commander and FAF tends to have the higher tier units being slower :)
RIP Randy
I like seeing Sprinters in action, specially in competitive matches, very cool unit and quite useful if the enemy has expensive artillery like Sheldons, but I got to admit the amount of damage 2-3 sprinters sneaking by and attacking an unprotected base compared to a single Fiend is insane, I guess that is not their main role.
I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, Winter. Almost like more billboards than trees along I-70!
Sheesh that was some back and forth! 11/10
Nerdy info: you pronounce "p" in "ptaq" short, like in 'aptitude'. 'Ptak' means 'bird' in polish
Best eSports commentator there ever was.
It's about damn time!
'StarDom from the UK'
*angry australian noises*
great way to work in American football
PtaQ is from Poland, pronounce as Ptaku.
best one: "noobs soon to be probes" :D
Is there a good way to learn hot keys/how to play better for someone with very limited RTS knowledge/experience? I've downloaded the game and played a few bot games but I can barely control my commander, let alone efficiently queue up builds/units/input commands lol
Make sure you have a good grip on your hotkeys so that you slowly get used to pressing them and not using your mouse for most things ! Apart from that, it's going to take time for you to learn the muscle memory to be quick, and to learn to divide your attention so you can keep track of multiple things at once. You'll get there though ! As with most skills it's a lot of repetition and experience.
The website has lots if resources to help you learn. Also I think there are some basic hot keys mapped out in game, in controls or something.
It's a "feel" thing. Give yourself the time and the slack to climb the learning curve of an RTS. Honestly, it's way more about systematically grasping the circumstances of the game then winning or losing. The controls will come with time, and it will feel like playing an instrument. In the beginning, there is nothing wrong with doing things slowly but trying to do them the right way. I'd recommend learning a basic opening for both and a basic opening for vehicles. I prefer to play front line, but whatever position you prefer, stick to that roll. You want to standardize your play experience as much as possible while you are getting a feel for the game. Once you feel like you really have some momentum and the game mastered, then expand on builds and positions to play.
Start with scenario 001. it gives you a purely defensive enemy you can just build stuff against and see what does what. Afterwards, you can do skirmishes against builder AIs who are not totally passive but give you plenty of time to do stuff.
U can pause with the pause-break key. Alt - slows and alt + speeds up the game. Switch to grid optimized under controls, hotkeys, keybindings. It let's u build with keys from Q to V. Other than that it just takes time. U could also watch replays with player perspective.
Randy’s rockets and the lions den exit 304 on the right
I think Daywalker might be Dregs from Zero-K. That's quite the team
ha ah, it is Cleveland Brown BAR show!
Enjoyed this one. Cheers winter 👍
PtaQ def carrying this game
nice!
Psst The Tundra map of Mellon Slügger is pretty good
Where can I find replays/VODs for this tournament?
best like and subscribe ive ever seen
Your jerking with camera reached pro level. Do you feel some tension at lone evening ?
10k!!!!
Ohio & Kentucky Border.. lmao O-H!
UK flag looking at lot bluer than I remember.
In other words, daywalker camping.
Don't be a PetaQ, keep casting BAR
icon wars is nice
I am 30 ts and Ive never played with icons at close distance.
Once you get used to the models u dont need it.
for casting its also bad cause it ruins the aesthetics.
i do not like the icons
