I also don’t think anybody who rides for long distances or cruises on highways, rides/should ride above 80-90km/h all day long considering the road conditions of our country. 😂
We have better roads now. Proper fenced off highways. We also have better bikes. You can easily hold 110-120 safely. Infract, I feel on most highways, 90-100km/h is a good cruising speed. 80 is definitely slow for covering distances in a timely manner.
That's in ideal condition. But distances warrants cruising at 110 specially, if the highways are smooth and traffic is minimal. Like Mumbai Bangalore for example.
I love the Inty 650 just for the refinement and feel. It's really brave of BSA to get this into the market. Hope it finds its own space and does well rather than trying to compete with the RE twins and disappearing. It's great that we Indians now have high-quality options to choose from, and that should remain.
Good one, I had INT 650 couple of years ago, today i have BSA Goldie,,,same Red colour. This Big Single is something different. Cant Express in words its abstract. Trust, I find reasons to ride it, its so engaging and amazing.
5:25 , Bang ON, When i test Rode BSA, that is what i've felt. BALANCE and Weight Management is Too good to ignore for people with less Body weight. Only if they have more better support and dealerships, it would be great. I prefer BSA.
Hi Sir, I own BSA RED, my question is how and where to get some basic accessories like silence guard, tank covers, windshield etc.. for BSA Goldy within India.
Both bikes looks really nice, but that water cooler gives - in my personal view - the BSA a black eye. Plus the motor delivers the same power as the Interceptor. I guess single cylinder vs parallel twin is a bit apple to oranges technically, but still, the BSA would look so much better without the cooler.
@@bigbearbangalore yeah, I guessed the engineers at BSA knew why they had to put it there. It seems that having that one big cylinder brings some compromises.
There were too many times you guys sat on the THORNY FENCE JUST FOR THE LOVE OF WHAT THE MACHINE WAS GOOD AT (INT 650 / BSA650). YOU GUYS MUST BE FEELING THE PRICKS ON YOUR BUMS. BUT HOPE THE THORNS DID NOT HURT YOUR JEWELS. 😅
Yes we do sit on the fence and our asses are used to it by now and feel no pain. 😀 And we do this on purpose and do not provide a definitive choice. We share our thoughts in an appropriate way. At the end of the day it’s a personal choice and we do not wish to overly impose our personal choices and preferences on to the viewers. Information is provided within a reasonable band of likes and dislikes and we choose to leave the rest to the potential buyer to make the choice. Cheers!
So many people waiting for the Bear. But I feel they are going to be disappointed. Something about the weight/ergonomics/ride position didn’t sit right with me unlike my time with the Triumph Scrambler even though they are aimed at the same market. That engine and gearbox though is just beautiful. Hopefully the thought out reviews of the Bear like yours will focus this unlike the usual fluff pieces that come out of paid junkets in sunny California
Really good discussion between two opposite choices. Goes to show the spec and the comparison is all a waste. Finally you should buy for the reasons that you have (and the money) and make the decisions accordingly.
Thanks for this wonderful video. Can i burden you with a request? It would be nice if you could make 2 separate videos on these bikes like what are all the accessories and modifications done and how experts like you two will maintain the motorcycle
A few reviews did mention about the side panel being just hard mounted with rubber stoppers. Without a key. Wouldn’t that be negative as essentially anyone can just take that off and pull away my seat or the battery on my parked motorbike. It’s just a matter of time when people become aware that it doesn’t need a key to be removed…. Or it comes off due to Indian roads
Very true about pushing the bike to limits , i experienced it first hand with RE guerrilla, where most were talking about the tyres not Inspiring confidence at high speeds and leans, I could never push the bike to that limit , i did a 1.5k kms run on that to Goa and back it always felt in control
I wish the bsa have made this a twin 650 like the old goldstar 650, then no comparison was required. Its a better bike but lacks the feel and growl of a twin. Ergonomics, looks, finish basically everything leans more towards the bsa goldstar.
Bro, I feel the Classic 650 twin would be the perfect rival for Goldstar 650 singles. But till the launch, it's ok. Hope you will like Bear 650 and waiting for your review on it. Thanks.
Totally different bike though, its not a classic retro for highways. its taller and sharper (and obviously more expensive) Apples and oranges (or may be peaches)
The brand will survive. Some investors will take it up and keep it going. Bajaj who own 49% of KTM may themselves do something. One never knows. But the brand will survive this crisis.!
This is such a mature and neutral comparison. The last point you made about buying a motorcycle that makes one happy is the most important factor to consider. I'm considering upgrading to BSA Gold Star 650 and this 'review' of yours cleared many of my doubts. Thank you for this video!
Not really. It is not as cut and dry as you make it. A single provides instant power unlike a twin. It is also lighter. A lot of offroad/dirt bikes are single cylinders for this reason. They are a lot easier to maintain and repair because there are fewer parts. They are mechanically more simple. Best of all they have a characteristic thump which is satisfying and fun. BSA 650 would be my pick.
BSA Goldster 650 would be my pick 😊
I also don’t think anybody who rides for long distances or cruises on highways, rides/should ride above 80-90km/h all day long considering the road conditions of our country. 😂
Fair point.

Agree we now have better roads compared before but also still we have people roaming around with less traffic sense on highway@@anirudhhhh
A thumper lover like myself would most likely end up with the gold star even if it has to give up a little bit on the other end
Cheers from usa

Awesome, informative and fair review. Just love it man❤

I love you guys, keep the friendship and story going for years to come

I love my RE350 reborn. Good enough for kotambri purchase and occasional dose ride 😂
Quite a stuffed comparison, absolutely loved it. Bravo guys!!
The focus on the propose of the bike being the framework that defines the analysis is a welcome breath of fresh air in bike reviews😊
Nice chat, ❤.. Expecting Scram 440 ride & feel review. And finaly, Scram 440 vs Goldy.
Thanks. Will do when the motorcycle becomes available.
On a lighter note: I like how they cleverly hide the stones they used to raise the bike stand, covering it with leaves. 😜
Not so clever I’d say 😀😀😀
@@bigbearbangalore 😆
I don’t follow; why would you need stones to raise a bike stand?
So that they stand more upright for the video shooting.

finally the most awaited video is here!!
CK is spot on by mentioning extra vada😂
I would have liked the comparison between RE Bear 650 vs BSA Goldstar 650
More sensible would be comparing the new bsa Scrambler that's gonna launch soon with the bear
@@LowQualityPigeon Exactly.
Bear vs Goldstar? Am not sure that is more appropriate than this comparison.
@@bigbearbangaloreThe RE Bear 650 vs The BSA B65 Scrambler( unveiled at the Motorcycle live, UK)would be more appropriate😊
Bosky sir, I would personally like to see your review or thoughts on int bear 650. Please, if you would! Thank you!!
Sure. Coming this month.
Hi Sir, I own BSA RED, my question is how and where to get some basic accessories like silence guard, tank covers, windshield etc.. for BSA Goldy within India.
Congrats! And am yet to know this. Am looking too.
if you can navigate the customs/internationalShipping part then there are good options in UK
@@bigbearbangalore hopefully you will and pass on to us soon. Thank you BIG B.
Just took trial of bsa ...tommorow will try interceptor

wonderful as always

It would look better but it cannot put the same power if it were an air cooled.

Bear 650 is probably the right rival for the GS at the moment.
Can we please have a similar podcast comparing those two?
No?? Both are so different. The GS is a retro classic like the int. Whereas the bear is a retro scrambler, not at all similar bro
The Inty is the closest comparison I’d say. And we will review the Bear soon.
Inty is the more appropriate comparison. The Bear is quite different.
BSA 🔥 best
Are Alloys on the anvil for the Goldie? Also, are the 2 into 1 pipes of the Bear retro fittable to regular Interceptor?
My thoughts exactly, not a big fan of twin exhaust
Don’t know about the alloys. And it’s not possible to retrofit. There is a change in the cylinder head on the Bear.
Accessories for classic legends bikes are not readily available in the market nor with the dealerships. @@bigbearbangalore

Ride review coming soon.
I am waiting for this as well. Took a test drive, im still a bit sceptical about suspension. It felt firm. Trying to get a longer test drive
@karan8417 multiple test rides very useful

howz the heating issue handled in gold star? Also, isnt service centers of Gold star very limited currently ?
There is heat throw. Yes, limited service network.

Those two are old news :) waiting for RE Bear in depth review from gurus
Facing paint fade in brake pedal and powder coating strats to peel off in silencer(which is on shadow black version) within 720 in odo.
Which bike? Inti or Goldie
Why not Classic 350 for a relaxed feel good riding?
Different segment.
Doesn’t have the acceleration punch I enjoy.
I have Adv 390 , looking to buy retro with higher engine .. still in confusion between continental GT or Int 650
In same boat. Lost b/w Inty, BSA and Bear now.
Test ride back to back and choose.
@bigbearbangalore yes sir have to ..
Have you done a review on Int Bear 650.

I suppose, until BSA stands up to the after sales service standards and accessibility like RE, the comparison would gain more meaning..
You should add a toring mirtor in your interceptor it will cost you only 999 or 1149 at amazon sir
sir one video on all the upcoming bikes in india from eicma 2024
Have you been able to try the bear and classic 650?

bear650 was similar in pickup to goldy❤❤
I was lot excited when BSA "golde" came out. However, no option for central stand is the deal breaker for me😢
when are you going to test Transalp.
If and when possible, will do. Don’t know when.
I want to be Bosky and Ck in my late 50s or 60s along with my friends

Both are Indian 🔥
My only complain with BSA GOLDSTAR is its price. Classic legends shouldn't have priced it at par with RE Intercepter.
That’s a point
The features matters...Brembo, Pirelli, Rotax BMW based engine etc...i own this bike and can feel while driving
Whenever any company launches bikes in RE domain . RE sales sores 😂 . BSA stands no chance against mighty RE.
