If you do $5 profit an item, it’s around $25/hr, I think it’s possible to average $20 profit per item if your business is 30 items or less, that’d be $100/hr, but it caps out bc you can’t find more than 210 $20+ profit items and list them each week. That’s why I consider $20+ profit a “grail,” bc it’s very difficult to actually order grails online without going out and finding that treasure yourself. This is based on an average of 6 minutes per item, in this video, it only takes me 4 minutes, and 3 minutes is the absolute fastest @technsports. That’s years of research right there, so smash the like button and subscribe and join our group. Thanks! Https://www.patreon.com/theresellerspodcast I’m assuming you can find 10 items an hour that are $5-$20 treasure hunting each week. The absolute top solo business imo is 30x$20 items, 7 days a week and it could be done in 90 minutes of processing daily and 20 hours of hunting each week. That’s $4200 profit a week and $140/hr in just 30 hours total a week of expert sourcing and processing. That’s the “easiest” model with the most money, just my 2 cents. If you’re super lazy and don’t want to work very much, you’d just do @technsports model, work 3 months to make $52k and take 9 months off.

This is what reselling looks like, it’s not that glamorous. It’s work, but if you learn how to do it, you can get it done quickly and get back to treasure hunting, which is what people like to do 😃

I have to give you a massive shout out! The systems you encourage people to follow are great, although I gain greater personal benefit from your attitude. That sets the stage every time for me to be productive - the right attitude. "I don't go to FB groups and whine about an eBay issue" just work around it, pause and move on or wait a few seconds! Great advice. I have stopped watching a major number of youtube ebayers simply because they complain all the time about ebay and it gets depressing, you on the other hand put the responsibility right back into our hands to succeed, thanks.

The UA-cam folks that get on here and complain about eBay issues are not really in the resale business anymore. They’re now in the content/UA-cam money business.

@@HB-zk7ms Why would they be on here then, if things are so great? The same people complaining about eBay problems and wasting time with drama will always have that in every other venture they start. That is not a positive or a productive human, in any area of their life! People don’t change that much only because they set out to do something different. Their inner qualities and thinking will Still be there! 😐🥱🙄

Excellent processes, but the process time does exclude procurement of items and item prep and sorting prior to photographing. I think one of the biggest take always is to have every step in the process set you up for success in the next step. Thanks for sharing.

    Love this!!
Edit: Thinking about this more, I just need to get everything in place. Right now I can't do this, but I have started getting things organized. Moving to the sequential inventory system, getting a vertical photo booth setup. I'm placing all my stations right next to each other. I've made a little over 1K profit in a month with only 80 items in my store and that money is paying for everything so far without touching my normal finances. It doesn't look like I'm going to need much of it to be in a good place. I'm working out of 2 locations as well so I'm working toward only working from the location away from my house. I'm going to go to bed earlier, get up earlier, work out, get into remote location, fulfill all orders, customer service, pictures, list my 10 items, done. and be disciplined enough not to touch it again till the next morning!!! I'm gonna drive myself crazy until I'm at that level. After ebay is done in the morning I work my work from home IT job and can focus just on that without getting distracted.

I enjoyed this video! I’m about to go do 10 items and see where I get. I’d be perfectly fine with just photographing and listing 10 in an hour consistently. My customer service, picking and shipping is almost identical to yours (I ship in bulk). I’m longer doing photos though not much longer. I’ve never just taken 10 and listed 10 back to back. Let you know how it goes in the morning call today. Should be done before then. 😁

Incredibly useful and inspiring video! Your process is very similar to mine. The only thing I'd recommend is that you add an external monitor so you have two screens to work from - one for the photos, and one for the listing page. Putting the screen at eye level or slightly above eye level will help with your posture and reduce eye strain, as well. Thanks again for the inspiration 👍

While i understand your point of listing from a computer with templates. I still would say phone is way faster i have used only my phone to list, respond to customers, and send offers i only use the computer for printing labels. I am at almost 1000 items and never have had the phone be slow or glitch i can do a full listing pictures and all within 1 min on my phone but maybe i am lucky i just like being able to take pictures and they go right into the listing, i feel like moving from phone to computer slows it down a lot. Should i look at using the computer as i scale? i have done over 60k gross already.

      Crazy story...
I used to show the tag measurment until I went to a Tractor Supply and the cashier and I got into a conversation about jeans.. have no idea how, but... she used to work at one of the big name brand factories. She was telling me the reason jeans fit in different ways is because when they cut them it is a stack of material that the cutter does at one time. She said when the cutter comes down the material on top starts as a true fit and the bottom is always a slightly bigger fit. I am assuming this may be true for all materials whether jeans, shirts, etc.
After that I started measuring and showing the measurement with the tape in photos.

Thanks,I will probably join your Patreon Can one join if a complete beginner or do you need to be established? I have already began sourcing used items. The only comment I want to make is that your stuff seems easy to pack. What about items like fine china that require wrapping, box-in-box, taping, etc. Does that impact your time negatively from start to finish?

How long should people spend on editing photos? I take no time at all removing backgrounds quickly using photoroom, removing backgrounds for 10 items at a time. Is this fine?

Yes. Everything yes or no, living to the max or death. Binary. Got your listings up or didn’t. Not contributing to my life or others, no thanks!
