I had a esports brand years back when pubg mobile was popular we were profitable but not so profitable just because Indian market is very price sensitive people even never wanted to bet Rs100 so we had to keep bet around Rs 20 so now we stopped that business but was actually super fun running them

I am from USA, watching this Show, love it. Two suggestion (1) In the show background music is too loud, hard to listen the host or people talking. (2) When talking because of accents little hard to understand, if slowdown when talking will help to understand. Thanks.

Ofc Valorant streamers are doing fine but domestic tournaments are struggling after the franchise league began.

Gaming Industry is BIGGER than the whole Movie and Music Industry.

The gaming industry in India means BGMI. I don't see any other competitive games except BGMI which has such a fan following.
1 single game cant carry the whole gaming industry.. Talking about building a career in this is next to impossible as the people who are already famous wont be bothered by a newcomer. And this Upthurst also invited all the famous gamers and teams such as Godlike and Soul and hardly there are any new teams as they name them invitational.
Their motive is to get viewership based on already famous youtubers. And if Godlike and Soul cut their ties with Upthurst they will be nowhere to be seen..

so basically sharks are right as i can sy igc and esports in india is mostly about bgmi. cutoff of bgmi from gobals really affected esports in india as you can see market could have been whole south asia except china for upthurts as there is less compitition but due to cutt off it only bounded to india and nodwin got an edge there
At some point due to number of players in BGMI it can be true . But , the main twist is which we have seen also earlier like when PUBG or BGMI got banned in India then as an alternative game VALORANT came with a Boom in eSports . So you can’t directly say that if in India BGMI is removed then eSports will be affected, i think it will be more good and genuine when BGMI will be removed completely ( which i don’t want to ) then there will be a couple of Entries of Games of different Genre which will push eSports in India to a next level and will create more ORGs which will provide a lot more than opportunities for upcoming players or UnderDogs…
Sooner or later sharks will realise they lost a gem deal .

I'm super-confused about how much English is spoken in this segment. Some sentences are entirely in English, and many sentences mix Hindi and English a lot. Can someone please explain the reason behind this? I am sure phrases like "last year", "So you are basically an E-gaming organizer", "Ok, got it", "then there are distributors" etc can be said in Hindi but the Sharks/entrepreneurs chose to say it in English. Anyone care to explain? I work with Indian IT developers on a daily basis here in Sweden but as soon they start to speak Hindi I don't understand a single word. In this pitch I could honestly follow along pretty well without subtitles :)
