I remember watching this game absolutely furious at the disallowed try! First time since actually seeing a replay of the incident didn't realise it was Hogg and what an amazing player he would become
Hope he can finally make his Lions dream come true next year. Still hands down the best full back in the NH in my opinion and he's become a fantastic leader for Scotland too.
@@Ben_Dover15 Williams has been blighted for injuries for a year now. Out of form in the World Cup, and just return from injury to play for the six nations and looks uncomfortable and out of shape. Hogg still the on form fullback or perhaps one of the English fullback whoever they want to put it there, be it Watson or Daly. Ireland's Jordan Larmour is a good option too but little experience in Test match.
the ruckinmaul good points well made I just think he’s more well rounded, better defensively and especially in the air. I prefer Hogg to watch for the flair but I think coaches prefer Williams. He’s been sensational for sarries and I reckon he’ll be tough to play against in the pro14. Personally larmour isn’t quite there yet and that coming from an Irishman though I’m definitely excited for how the Irish back three will look with the young talent coming through at the minute and James Lowe set to join the fray
So Hogg can tackle...? He seems to have forgotten how. Maybe needs to have a masterclass with Paterson. Good video and it was a good game too. Wales with their usual flare were deserved winners.
For me Hogg is the personification of Scottish Rugby. Exciting to watch, filled with natural talent and occasionally amazing, but always making stupid mistakes.
@@RU-ik6gw It sounds like you're dismissing that guy's comment, but wins don't mean he isn't making mistakes. He's failed to find touch with penalties on numerous occasions. Also an egregious red card against Wales for the late, no-arms hit on Biggar in a past Six Nations. He's a great player and IMO deserves to be the starting fullback for the Lions tour next year, but he does have an error or two in his game.
@@FullTimeThistle hahah yh probably a bit harsh. He's the nailed on 15 for the Lions IMO. He does still have a brain fade in him every now and again though
Given how he’s now a pro 12, Gallagher premiership and champions cup winner, as well as having two 6 nations player of the tournament awards; I don’t think Hogg’s too bothered about making those mistakes. He’s also on the brink of becoming Scotland’s all time try scorer, as well as captaining us to our first away wins in Paris and London in over a lifetime. He’s not flawless, but it’s daft to focus on the lower points of his career.
He's been inconsitent at the moment, but about one or two years ago he was undoubtebly an amazing player and probably one of the best fullbacks in the world. If he can regain that form, he would make Scotland a great favor. But, once again, he's alternated good matches and surprising mistakes. Still a great player in my book, but I get what you're saying.
Such a shame about the alleged knock on
Wales not even past their own 10 metre line. Jiffy" "What a try this would be?!" Hahaha.

Who's here after Stuart's news to retire immediately. Bloody good player. Don't come along often so it's nice to watch when they first appeared.
Laidlaw at 10 forgot he was there for a while

Brodie Sandison I think I’d give it to Williams
Hogg deserves it, he was so unlucky last time

northen hemisphere fullback , gavin hastings southern hemisphere fullback , christian cullen
Love the Welsh color commentator. No sniff of bias, genuinely delighted to see good rugby.
That’s the Welsh for u 🏴
Hogg try should have been given
Damn he was so skinny back then !
Need one for Cameron Redpath, outstanding debut. Shame he got injured in that match as well
Why is the band playing Flower of Scotland like it’s a sea shanty?
Do more Scottish players
don't think that was a knock on

3:07 he's been doing it since the beginning. Lmaoo jk hogg is a class 15
Lol at least this one he didn’t actually drop it

2 championships in 2 weeks and a six nations win against wales. What a month for the guy that is always making mistakes

Is this the one he was red carded for almost breaking Dan Biggars jaw ?
GWLAD well if you actually watched it you might see that it’s not, FUD
Probably the most overrated player in world rugby

@@nicolasfigueroaalcorta7605 even at his peak he never surpassed Halfpenny, Mike Brown or Liam Williams in my opinion
@@jamesm5497 yeah this might be biased as I'm welsh, but halfpennies up and unders make him incredible same as Liam Williams, so I fully agree with u
@Leago Mnguni He stands out in a sub par Scotland team. Put him next to the best players in the Northern Hemisphere and he disappeared into obscurity
