@@stokerdon1020 I found playing with a few different styles of stokers that an inch of depth of firebed under the ash ring level was roughly 8 hours that it would hold a fire......this was similar with both sub-bituminous, bituminous and anthracite coal.....altho the anthracite coal was the one that i would lose a fire in if that was going to happen.....especially noticeable in warmer conditions
@@unhippy1 Hey, haven't heard from you in a Loooong Time! This GJ pot is 10.5 inches deep. I don't even need to run a timer on it. I think this is the only stoker i've ever had the I never had an outfire. Thanks for your input and have a Happy New Year down there!
@@stokerdon1020 10.5 inches deep.....yeah a timer on that would be a waste of money.....haven't been on the board for awhile....moved to Westport where heating isn't as critical as it was in Dunedin, still run a fire for about 5 months of the year (and have been sampling the different local coals) but its not anywhere near as cold as it was down south....Happy New Years to you and yours
Türkiyeden selamlar şu sisteme hayranim bıkmadan izliyorum gercekten mükemmel
Being deeper, does the GJ have a higher BTU rating?
No, BTUH = Pounds Per hour. More vertical depth means it will hold a fire longer than a shallower pot like an EFM.
