Thank you, i do miss jack and hope he is flying free with his own kind, i tried my best to get him from being a chick to a young adult and im glad to have had that time with him till he flew away in mid september and never returned, but i think hes around as there is one that still comes closer to me than the others. All the best Andy
Hi Andy, Well I certainly would not be disappointed with that harvest great stuff even if Jack didn't care for it, Take care and I'll catch you on the next one.
Eyup Andy. It's good to see you getting some grub in and Jack having it large. They'll start calling you Radagast if you're not careful - oh dear, have I started it? Keep well fella and I'll sithi after. Dave.
Thank you Andy, you all of this hard work and show us how you do it all. you are very tidy and have a beautiful setup. I for one appreciate your dedication.
Good thing you have that large fish weigh scale; you really needed it for all those taters. They were literally bursting at the seams. Amazing haul Andy. Everything else in your garden looked good too, including Jack 'n Kain, lol. Cheers from across the pond...
Aww Jack melts my heart, he loves you bless him. Happy to see Kain to. What a great reveal. I know you wasn’t impressed but i certainly was. Your Brussels Sprouts look amazing to. Looking forward to your next video. As usual i think your great 👍
Andy, that is not a bad haul of potatoes, I still have some International kidney to harvest. I am dreading my main crop harvest but time will tell. I think you should change your titles to Jack's video helped by Andy. He is a star mate. Take care and keep safe.
Well that haul was pretty good. Some good sized ones there too. I did that with mine. I sorted them into bags, one for chippers and ones for new potatoes and mashers. Little Jack cracks me up. He’s SO CUTE, you need to put a warning of extreme cuteness at the start of the vid now 😂 your sprouts look fab! Tomorrow I will be tacking my brassica bed, the one that’s got the bolted, waste of space 2020 broccoli in it. I’ve got sprouts in there too and I’ve hardly been in the bed as bloody butterflies have been circling it. So I’m going to brave it and sort it out and swat any cabbage whites that come my way lol. I tried growing caulis and sprouts in my polytunnel this year as an experiment. My sprouts look better than the outdoor ones! They must like a bit of pampering. I’ve never grown them under cover. The ones I grow outside are in a cage we made, only about 2ft high with an apex and netting all round the frame. But...the odd butterfly has been seen in there...these are commando butterflies I tell you! I’m sure they’re armed with little wire cutters 😂 so I will assess the damage tomorrow. If there’s no sprouts left and the caterpillars have had them, I’ve got the poly ones to fall back on. I planted some spuds a bit ago, Xmas spuds. Planted them on the right time and all that and they’ve already grown, flowered and dying down?? I’m putting it down to warm weather, what you think? I’m gonna leave them for a bit, dig one up and see if I’ve got anything. I’m not holding my breath. It’s mad how they’ve grown so quickly, so I’m only planning on getting marbles from those 😂 well, the weather is changing. We are getting cooler nights here now, almost time for the heating to be popped on for 10 minutes of an evening..just to take the edge off. I’ve noticed the trees changing colour too. I’m feeling quite sad actually as it’s coming to an end. I’m looking forward to the rest, we have two plots and it’s been madly busy but I do miss it. Over the winter we will be doing structure work. I’ve got hold of some FREE flags 👍🏻 so I’m gonna be putting a path in the poly and a seating area next to my shed...make a nice change from the weed membrane I’ve had down there for the last two years. On Daves plot we will be moving the poly tunnels around. At the minute they’re sideways on as you look up the plot with a small path down the side...not great when I’ve got to carry stuff past etc. So they’re being moved to lengthways so you’d see the doors as you look up the plot. Will make passing a lot easier and generally a better layout. He inherited the polys like that when he took on the extra half plot from a neighbour, so we need to sort that out. Well, another ramble from me lol. Hope you and Jill are alright and keep well. Before I go, Daves ribs are still playing him up but he’s easing into a few hours work a week, nothing too strenuous for now. My ticker is giving me grief, I think I’m gonna have to bite the bullet and have the stents in now..I’m sick of being out of breath! Sound like and old woman when I’m walking about lol 😂 the joys! Take care xx
Jill sends her love and says you mustn't overdo it - either of you. Health and each other is the first priority. Glad he's feeling a bit better but one day at a time. Free flags are great, will make a big difference. It's been a bitty season somehow and I share the sadness the end of the growing season is almost here. Jack is good fun, he's a wild bird and free but I hope he stays a while longer especially through the winter because he is not the best at flying yet, there have been a few crash landings. Landed in Jill's gypsophilia and just hung there waiting for her to rescue him - very funny. Take good care of yourselves until the next, Andy
andy160676 😂 aw bless him. Yeah we are trying not to overdo it. I did the broccoli bed..what a state that was in! Managed to save a few broccoli that are giving me sprouts tips, winner. Only lost 3 of my sprouts..,they’d all blown for some reason. Sorted out the poly and gave it a top dressing of compost. Then at Daves plot I cleaned out the greenhouse as the toms and cucs had come to an end in there. Hope Jack stays, he’s gotten quite attached so you never know? Love to Jill and Jack and a fist bump to you 👍🏻😂
Hi mate, that was a decent crop from ether tubs. As you say, watering can be an issue using this method, Ive followed you this year with all tubs. Jack is certainly a character...what is the story behind him? did you rear him? is he free all of the time or have you got a cage for him too roost? All the best 🌻 Nigel .......MuddyBootz Allotment 🌻
He's worked out the Mrs is a reliable soft touch when it comes to treats Gregory but he likes to join in whatever I'm doing whether it's helpful or not! Always entertaining though. Thanks for watching - Andy
I think that is a good haul of spuds. Not a record but given the weather I think you should be pleased. How do you use Sarpo Mira? All the best to you and Jack.
I have things planted but nothing is really doing very well, weird temperatures this year. The allotment is going to e too wet. In the garden and poly tunnel I'll grow spring greens, leeks and Brussels. In the poly tunnel, late season leafy greens and lambs lettuce.
Love 💕 your videos, love your garden and, I love 💕 your pets! Keep it up Andy. Thanks 🙏 Eamonn.
Thanks Eamonn, all the best. Andy
You are really a man of nature, very clean, calm , and about your Crow that's really wonderful. Nature bless you

That made my Mrs crack up. She says she's going to look for a hat and wand. Thanks for watching and hope all is well at your end. Andy

What do you have planned for the rest of the year, do you plant anything else for autumn and winter?
I have things planted but nothing is really doing very well, weird temperatures this year. The allotment is going to e too wet. In the garden and poly tunnel I'll grow spring greens, leeks and Brussels. In the poly tunnel, late season leafy greens and lambs lettuce.
Lovely harvest of potatoes, how do you store them all
In brown paper sacks in an outdoor shed I check regularly for any that are bad and use in order ie first early's before main crop. All the best, Andy
The bird must like you or it's the tatties
He was a great garden buddy last year, miss him loads but he is a free wild bird and i hope hes doing ok with his own kind.
