I love your videos, very comprehensive and not rushed. So if I accept a colab it goes on my grid but does it also send out a notification to both my existing followers and other users as it would if for instance I posted a normal reel myself. No one has been able to answer this one yet so hoping you know thank you

Do the followers see both creators ? Likes and comments?

Yea,they see both creators their name will come together.i.e _the_creator_1 and _the_creator_2 both likes and comments will come on both acc but the one that post the reel/post will get the benefits to change or manage and give hearts to comments.
