Some tips if you want to start speedcubing: get a little magic, it's only 5 dollars plus the shipment; start learning beginners C- fop with intuitive f2l and 2-look pll and oll (it helps a lot); practice; and watch j perm (or any other good tutorial cubing channel).

When the cube comes down solved but not squared, what is the limit of sloppiness? At what point would you get disqualified because that last spin isn't complete? More than halfway spun counts, less than halfway doesn't? (Meaning, the 45° mark) Does this ever come up?
I do not know why there are still guys with a stopwatch. In the event that the rotation of a layer is incomplete, it adds 2 seconds of penalty, nowadays it does not usually subside thanks to the magnetic cubes.
