I actually received my SF 42 yesterday and couldn't be more pleased beautiful finishing, amazing bracelet and very comfy, sapphire bezel and crystal for 300 dollars, and it fells so amazing that I'll be able to hand it down to my children one day 😊
I have the Zelos Swordfish & the attention to detail is fantastic & the lume is unbelievable.😎👍🏼 I’d certainly add this Hammerhead to the list! That orange sunburst is just 🤤
I think I have this as a surprise for Father's Day, I have owned like 5 zelos all extremely well made but somehow always get used in trades since everyone seems to enjoy them. The lume and build quality shows that most other companies are mailing it in since zelos is a one man run machine. Great review as always.
I like the chunky and funky, glad they slimmed it down though. I have had QC issues on a few Zelos watches so far but they always rectify them. I’ll probably try this one as well.
I have to say I love everything about this watch. My Seiko SKA371 weighs in at 210gm after sizing for my wrist and I can happily wear it all day and I haven't seen the inside of a gym for years...if ever come to think of it. Great channel by the way.

I picked up my first zelos a while ago. The swordfish 40mm. Very impressed with the build quality all round and the lume is the best I've ever experienced.
Before the video started I thought 'I'm not going to like this' and after it was finished I was immediately thinking 'I would love one'. The case is so spectacularly unusual and the fumee orange dial is fantastic. It's not the first Zelos watch I've liked and I'm now thinking I really must add one to my collection. Good video 👍
I'm a big seiko design and dial fan but last couple months I tried to find little bit more affordable and good looking but not imitate the seiko or other big brands and none of them catch my attention. Then I saw the zelos ad on Facebook with hh3 photo. I checked the website and the collection. Wish I knew them before so I could get this orange or mop dial. So I ended up getting the white dial which is quite unique design. Now let's see how long it'll take to delivered?

Their dials are always colourful, you can even get a piece from space, meteorite gray/black. Now the NH35 is not for everyone. Some might consider it 'crude'. It's a Belgian Brewery horse, not an Arabic race horse, but it gets the job done. It has confidence in its build and construction. This is not a timid diver! Also, the sapphire is slightly more curved on its older brother so if you smack it into something by accident, the shock waves will travel into the bezel. Sapphire is more or less scratch proof, but definitely not shatter proof. 2 weeks ago, I accidentally smacked it into a radiator made of cast iron with a fair amount of kinetic force - the radiator lost😂. Ha, the prior version was already too small for me, so I'm passing on this one. I like a watch I can feel on the wrist though. Actually looking to sell my prior buy, since I never wore it after sizing. I love their 3000m Abyss, and have two, plus four others from Zelos. Top notch Micro. Great review as always!
@@johnanth Calm down, lol. Geez, u think a 44 is shocking? How bizarre. I could likewise ask how tiny is yours that you'd think it's too big, lol, and I often see people try on a 44 or 48 and claim it's massive or too large, yet it looks great on them, while, unfortunately, a 38 or whatever looks just silly, like they are wearing a kid's watch. In any case, that anyone thinks a certain wrist size comports with an assigned case size is utterly ridiculous. It's preference, and entirely subjective, how big or small or heavy or light or design or style of watch is worn. For the record, it's 7.5 inches, for which 44 to 46 mm is recommended (not that it matters), but I can be happy with a decent 42mm (which is larger than how the Hammerhead wears, by the way, due to the design -- almost wears like a 40mm, in fact ) up to a 50mm plus. Larger watches remain a popular trend, from affordables to million dollar brands. Not sure how people aren't aware of that, unless they just have no awareness of the watch industry. The watch there would look good on Pete's wrist, I'm quite sure, but I respect his preference, since he's the one wearing it, or, not wearing it in this case. I can’t comprehend it either...i’ll put a watch on and think ‘wow, that’s got a bit of weight’ then I go about my day and won’t give it another thought. People seem a little delicate.
Great review Pete , have to admit to being a bit of a Zelos fanboy having bought 6 in the past year (although only 2 have stayed in the collection) , I really love how the HH3 looks and that orange dial looks fantastic (first time Zelos have done a orange dial i believe) but with 6.2 inch wrists i'm definitely not strong enough lol
What do you mean 18/20 years old my friend dad of 70 loved the watch and he's planning on buying one. I think I sparked a watch collecting flame in him and well soon his son will follow.
I have the previous version. It's a great watch, but I do like a watch with heft, so it suits me. The only downside I have for Zelos (and I have three by them) is that they didn't (or haven't) offer anything with day-date and hi-beat. I have more NH35s than I have fingers and toes. Ditto for date-onlys. When they can make a day-date that's hi-beat I'll be back.

Very informative, thanks for reviewing and comparing the size to your Samurai. I have the orange Samurai and love it, but this Zelos is too chunky for me. Cheers!
Hi Peter great video. What about that watch that you didn't like. I personally think it looked cooler and better than plain orange Seiko. I am 57. I actually thought the color look cool and you can tell it's very well built. And for $349 it beats any Seiko for that money. Although I just got the white dial King Samurai for only $350 brand new. And that is my favorite watch. I think that you have already done a video on it. What did you think of that white Samurai. Sorry I threw so many questions at you. Ray
Hey Ray, the Zelos is an amazing build and overall amazing watch. Personally I like a lighter experience, so as I said at 18 or 20 years old, this thing would have easily been on my wrist as a daily..:) The white dial Samurai you got there was a bargain, well done. I liked the watch, I actually reviewed it several months back. What bugged me was the quality control..the one I reviewed had a misaligned bezel and misaligned chapter ring..pretty slack for the money outlaid Apart form that, a nice offering 👍
@@PeterKotsa thank you Peter for responding so quickly. I know about the Seiko quality control. I got very lucky with my white dial seiko, everything matches up perfectly even the crown screws out nicely and screws back in nicely. Tomorrow I am receiving two metal strapcode hexagon bracelets for it. One is Silver the other is black whichever one looks the best I'm going to keep. I thought the metal black one might look great because I did like the black color of the rubber band that came on it. What do you think?
I am waiting to pull the trigger on the ice blue version when it releases as am keeping my orange choice for the Helm Khuraburi where I am on the waiting list. Nice samurai though
Looks well made and good value... I've looked at Zelos a few times, but something has always put me off & I've not been able to put my finger on why - but you've nailed it. I'm 50, not 20! A cool young man's watch, too blingy and brash for us more sophisticated (🤣 = old) blokes!! Wish I had that clasp on my Aquis tho... Nice watch, wish I was young enough to carry one off. Cheers mate 👍🏻👍🏻
52 years old and I’m seriously looking at this watch now, but I am 6’3” and have an 8” wrist. I wear my yellowfin baby tuna on a Strapcode endmill bracelet so I don’t think the size or heft of the hammerhead will be an issue. That orange colour puts a big smile on my face.
@@stevefox8605 I am considering buying this Zelos, but import taxes are holding me back. I live in Europe, AFAIK Zelos are shipping from Asia, so the price would rise considerably when taxes are added..
Did everyone that watch this video put an order for the watch. I was stuck in a meeting and log in Zelos website 4 minutes after it ordering began and the orange colour way was already sold out....bullocks.
"if a watch is too heavy, you're not strong enough" doesn't make it lighter... it's heavy anyway...lol But after all, this is an EDC watch if you are a ( [cough]...strong ) builder, carpenter, etc..... many nails need a fix on the go 😋 Not my cup of coffee too, have one now (first of the day), it's ok... i'm too hahahaha Be well mate, once more congrats on 15k mark, many to come, that's for sure. Ist is similar to some watches from Phoibos or like the Dumas from Spinnaker........very chunky...... I think Long Island watches are using also similar cases.
@@PeterKotsa Thanks, Peter. They sure are pretty. Their site shows they're sold out of most everything, though. Gonna have to wait for more to be made, I reckon.
Seems like Zelos finally understood that they can't be $500-$700 price area anymore. Using NH35s surely ruining their name they started with Axios. Why can't they go for Miyoya and even sells at $400-$500?
That color is fantastic. It's like a Gibson sunburst guitar. The case and bracelet is awesome too.
What about the pickups, any good? 😄
Pro tip: you can watch series on Flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies these days.

Personally I like a lighter experience, so as I said at 18 or 20 years old, this thing would have easily been on my wrist as a daily..:)
The white dial Samurai you got there was a bargain, well done.
I liked the watch, I actually reviewed it several months back. What bugged me was the quality control..the one I reviewed had a misaligned bezel and misaligned chapter ring..pretty slack for the money outlaid
Apart form that, a nice offering 👍
Zelos makes some cool watches ⌚ 😎
Looks well made and good value... I've looked at Zelos a few times, but something has always put me off & I've not been able to put my finger on why - but you've nailed it. I'm 50, not 20! A cool young man's watch, too blingy and brash for us more sophisticated (🤣 = old) blokes!! Wish I had that clasp on my Aquis tho...
Nice watch, wish I was young enough to carry one off.
Cheers mate 👍🏻👍🏻
I will be 47 years old this year, and that would not stop me from buying this terrific watch.
@@ash9058 Cool, I'm 5'7" & not that confident/outgoing. Wear it in good health mate Thanks for your comment 👍🏻
@@e28forever30 Go for it, sweet watch 👍🏻

I am considering buying this Zelos, but import taxes are holding me back.
Beautifull watch
IT'S GORGEOUS!!!!!
Wow🤩
Is it wearable on 6.5 inch wrist?
Possibly, but pretty chunky and a tad on the heavy side
What an interesting watch. I really like this one, Peter.
It’s definitely SOLID
This will be the first colour to sell out I think
Give me that burnt orange in the next Swordfish.
Beautiful colour, but a little bit too big for me 👍🏻
"if a watch is too heavy, you're not strong enough" doesn't make it lighter... it's heavy anyway...lol But after all, this is an EDC watch if you are a ( [cough]...strong ) builder, carpenter, etc..... many nails need a fix on the go 😋
Not my cup of coffee too, have one now (first of the day), it's ok... i'm too hahahaha
Be well mate, once more congrats on 15k mark, many to come, that's for sure.
PS I know you're not ansewring comments of previous vid, but got to tease you again, check out my 2nd "postscriptum" (got to tease my girl too with latin!).
Είσαι πόλη πιραχτηρις 😂
@@PeterKotsa Once you go Greek, you go deep!!!! 😂😂😂 You make me realy happy mate, bless ya!
Ist is similar to some watches from Phoibos or like the Dumas from Spinnaker........very chunky...... I think Long Island watches are using also similar cases.
Very nice looking piece. Where are the Zelos watches made?
Zelos is based in Singapore, so I am assuming that's where they are also made
Cheers
@@PeterKotsa Thanks, Peter. They sure are pretty. Their site shows they're sold out of most everything, though. Gonna have to wait for more to be made, I reckon.
@@jimf3932 not sure if they make more once they are sold out. the model reviewed here said it was limited to 300 pieces in each colour way
Cheers
Its not about being strong enough, its about the watch being annoying to wear.
Seems like Zelos finally understood that they can't be $500-$700 price area anymore. Using NH35s surely ruining their name they started with Axios. Why can't they go for Miyoya and even sells at $400-$500?
Hermoso reloj, saludos.
Beast ..killer dial... I likey...
The NH 35 KILL'S IT
💪💪
Very nice...
I wear a Seiko Samurai all the time, so this won't be much heavier.
