I think about that too. Lack of compassion and sensitivity. The old cartoons , while classics from days of old were very violent. Alot of animal cruelty came from that . Tom and Jerry and that roadrunner cartoon. Even as a kid I couldn't understand how that could be entertaining.
You dont understand GENDER ROLES. Before womens liberation - a woman's role (and source of pride) came from TAKING CARE OF A MAN. The man cooking his own meals was like a slap in the face. Like a man's pride when he can't do something "manly" and his spouse does it herself.
