hello teacher Jane.. why did we say 2pieR square in finding the surface area of the hemisphere..why is it not a half because it's a semi circle.?

Hey learner,,thank you for following my lessons.Hemisphere and semicircle do not refer to the same thing....the formula of finding surface area of a hemisphere is 2πr squared while area of a semicircle is 1/2πr squared..
