In the Ghanaian culture they ask the bride 3 times if they should accept the gifts that the groom has brought for her and she says "yes please take it" that means her family has to now accept him as her husband

+Jaynette Ak you know I went to their website they do not have many dresses just 2011,2012,2013-14. the website is not up to date is there another way and her dress or bridesmaids dresses weren't there also. I want to order but this is a bummer

well I'm confused. bc Im going to have to go through this soon and what was said earlier is different from what I'm being told by my family. From what I understood. After the "knocking" which is when both families meet up and the man acknowledges his desire to marry the daughter. The man brings gifts to the woman's house and the family accepts. After that there is an engament ceremony which basically our traditional wedding and that is when the rings are presented and all with gifts. Then it is up to the couple whether or not they want to do a Western wedding.
Well I thought the engagementment is the traditional ceremony.
