Love Anthony, grew up watching Jordan as well, posters, shoes, even the water-boy for an exhibition game one time, went to his camp and Anthony screams Jordan-like, his athleticism is a lot like his. His skill level speaks for itself.
Now that the physical and skill level are out of the way, Anthony has a strong likeable personality, fun, friendly and has that big smile.
He's just like Mike and I hope he will be as great.

Comparing every prodigy to Jordan itself is valid. Jordan is the benchmark. His moves were poetry in motion. However when comparing two individuals we also have to take into account their past and the way they grew up. And Jordan had to fight every day. Which eventually build his competitive spirit. He was on a war path with anyone coming between him and his goals. People who grow up after 2000 do not have this kind of struggle our past generations had. Generally the majority do not need to sacrifice as much as in Jordan's days to have a comfortable and secure life.

One of the big things that stands out to me is how Edward's is increasing is avg assists per game by over a full assist EVERY year. He's learning how to use his abilities to be a facilitator for easy buckets without hurting his own offensive production. Over 5 per game this season.

First of all, i think Anthony edwards is a great young player in the nba and i actually agree with him being in the same mold like a kobe, Bird and Michael Jordan. Especially the athleticism and mentality. The biggest worry for me is anthony's fundamentals because he will need it to have success and prolong his career. I think him and wembanyama is some of the most exciting younger players to watch in the nba currently. Maybe get more of a midrange game and maybe some postmoves. Also he needs to be a team player first which Jordan was aswell although jordan was not easy to work with because of his competitiveness. But overall Anthony cam become a great player but with all young talents we shall just wait and see and let time tell, but in gonna try watching more of Anthony edwards because he looks like a real baller 😮😊

He seems to have a stable and tough mentality aswell despite the hardships he seemed to have faced in his childhood with both his mother and grandmother passing away. Ant seems to have that mentality of being confident and wanting to guard the other teams best player, like a Jordan , Kobe and dwade imo. Dwyane Wade also seems like a reasonable comparison with Anthony Edwards 😊💯⭐🙌🙏
When they say the next jordan then most of us expect to see similar scoring traits. As In acrobatic hang time off the glass moves. He has similar dunks. Other than that he is scoring like Anthony Edwards.He might be the next great scorer. Like luka. But he doesn't have nearly the acrobatic style of Jordan.

Ant needs MJ's work ethic, mentality & dedication. You can be athletic as MJ, but you can't just be MJ.
I really like this kid's game, and the sky is the limit, but it's funny to me how they are hyping a guy who Jordan is better than in literally EVERY athletic and skill category (aside from handles, which is largely just a function of the evolution of the game - if Jordan came up today he'd have those same handles. Also worth noting Jordan's absurdly low TO rate on high usage and the fact that his handles allowed him to get wherever he wanted to on the court, so they were good enough). Like, if they are hyping him to be "the next Jordan" and saying he'll dominate the league, what would a 26 year old Jordan - who is 2" taller than Edwards, significantly quicker/faster, better leaper in every respect (1-foot, 2-foot, off a hop step, quicker off the ground etc.), better shooter out to 22 feet, better post game, better body control, better footwork, more creative, better passer, better defender, better motor etc. do to this league? And then they want to try to tell you that he wouldnt average 40 ppg lol. Edwards himself may well average 30+ next year.
