I commission a lot of art myself, and something I've noticed with artists who have very high commission prices is that they don't actually want to do commissions. But will do it if someone is willing to pay the extraordinarily high price.

I got so many of my skins basically for free because I farmed the ABSOLUTE HELL out of the twitch prime capsules for a LONG time, and just kept a ton of my level up chests and keys for re-roll shards. 114 epics, 33 legendaries, 21 mythics and 2 ultimates, and I really only like playing Mordekaiser/Fiddlesticks/Rumble/Rek'sai(formerly, they fucking RUINED her...)/Taliyah(Recently)/Talon/Garen/Lissandra/Syndra. And I've been an ARAM only player the past two years.
Maybe stuff like this is why Riot is trying to make their players be less toxic in their games because they know that they wouldn't be able to sell as many of these ridiculously priced cosmetics if the people who buy the cosmetics get bullied and the character's with these skins are constantly getting banned
The thing I hate about battle passes, what if I buy it and don't finish it in time? If I buy something, I don't want a ticking clock and need to spend many hours in order to get the thing I buy or lose it forever.
This skin makes me sad. I wish a was born in a position where 500 USD would be like chump change for me. When I look at this skin and look at the kids peddling flowers at the market, I just feel sad.
Day 1 and got some dude with that skin on my team in an ARAM. We lost of course, but not after both teams did nothing but roast him in chat for over 20 minutes.
I stopped playing league before they even adopted battlepasses, and I ain't goin' back. I love lore in cool franchises, but I don't have the cash to splurge onpointless cosmetics.

To put it into perspective, I recently got the steam deck oled, with a 1TB storage for $700. This skin, is almost there.
I’d rather buy a Steam Deck that I’ll never use than a skin for League. And this is coming from someone that bought the $60 gacha skins for Nikke. 😂

Insane pricepoints are a hallmark of monopolies and disconnected C-suite sociopaths.
And in Halo Reach the cosmetics were free, could be earned in-game by playing, and weren't limited time availability.

If that’s their plan, it’s failing. This kind of thing will only make the playerbase even more toxic than it already is.
You get most of these same cool features in Elementalist Lux and that skins like $10-$20
