Great review Tony 🙂 I am actually looking to replace my land-lines with an IP solution.

Thanks Avi! I agree, there are many use cases for this phone, doctor’s offices, small retail shops, repairs shops, schools etc. I’m really liking this phone so far. Audio quality is excellent. Have a great day.

I am curious how it handles the hand off between access points.

Hi Jay, I’ve been using the phone for about two weeks now. Haven’t had any issue with moving from AP to AP as of yet anyway. 😀

I have the same one sent to me! And the 810 820 and now the 822. Although adding the 822 to the 6300 it has to be done manually. We should chatt tony.

Hey Jason, thanks for watching. Actually, it doesn’t have to be added manually. James Middendorff showed me how the template for the WP822 could be added to the drop down menu so it can be configured using ZeroConfig.

@@QuikTechSolutions I just checked, the 822 is there now !! WOO HOO! They must have "JUST" added it!

@@JasonsLabVideos yes, it was pretty simple to add. I never thought of checking for the template. I’m glad James brought that to my attention. I plan on doing a follow-up video after a few weeks of use. I’ll mention this in the video. I’m always learning something new from the community. That’s what makes it great!

@@QuikTechSolutions They just added the phone in the templates in the last few days, I just did a video like yours and it wasn't in the templates, I asked Willie, he mentioned it was coming. I see the 825 in there now too..

Indeed! So now I don’t feel so bad, it probably wasn’t there two weeks ago when I recorded the vid. Although, I never even thought to check. Haha!

Look like same with wp820. Whats the diffent?

Thanks for watching. The specs are identical. I’m guessing the 822 has newer tech under the hood. Have a great day!

Apparently WP822 is very different than the WP820. WP810->WP822->WP825(rugged), Linux OS. WP820 is alone in using Android. Unsure which OS is better.

While looking at 810 + 820 versions , WP820 is WiFi 802.11n, while WP810 is WiFi 802.11ac (which is newer). Other differences, 820 can accept video calls, but does not have a camera, so it does not transmit. Might be useful for as door video intercom. it also has bluetooth.
Looks like WP822 is also 802.11ac.
