    Hi. Thanks for the video.1) looking at the actuators, they don’t seem to move any differently than an sfx platform. Could you elaborate how superior they might be? 2) can you describe what sort of vibration effects did you experience? 3) did you feel those effects equally in all games you tried? Thank you.

    • @TheSimpit
      @TheSimpit  5 місяців тому

      Hey, for 1. Most motion hardware move in the same manner and have similar hardware components design. What separates them is the speed and acceleration of the platform and the software and how it translates the telemetry into motion and vibrations
      2 and 3. Motion is very dependent on the sim's telemetry output and some sims output more effects than others. Some motion companies get around it with post processing and using different inputs, some do it better than others. Once I took the time to setup my motion profiles for the sims, they all felt very similar in terms of effects but again it really depends on the telemetry for the amount of effects outputted.

  • @Emir_de_Passy

    Thanks for the great video. Is wheel slip effect available in all sims? In other words, can I feel, the actuators vibrating when approaching the lateral tyre grip limit? And is the effect consistent from one sim to the other? Thanks

    • @TheSimpit
      @TheSimpit  6 місяців тому

      For the most part yes, you can feel all the effects consistently. You do have to dial in the settings for each sim, but I didnt have to do many changes. I haven't tried it with WRC yet because they didn't have telemetry output at launch.

    • @Emir_de_Passy
      @Emir_de_Passy 6 місяців тому +1

      @@TheSimpit thanks for the reply. Sorry to be bugging you, but can you feel the actuators when approaching the tyre lateral grip limit in all games? With SFX100, I only feel it in RF2, and only a little in ams2. Iracing as well. But not at all in ac, acc. I'd consider getting a qubic if that was the case in all games but I was told that the issue is with the game telemetry not necessarily the motion software.

      The RS MEGA+ does a great job at motion, But overall I enjoy the feel of the Qubic much more and has a lot more customization options along with post processing features. Qubic feels much more natural with how it provides feedback to the driver. The Qubic system is made by Motion Systems who are one of the best commercial motion platform builders in the world

    My SFX-100 system does a very similar job and cost around 2000 euros to buy all the parts, plus I had the satisfaction of building it myself, no way I could justify 5000 euro even if it is comparatively cheap compared to other motion solutions

    • @striff
      @striff 9 місяців тому +3

      Not really similar, sure both do movement.
      SFX-100 is slower at 245mm/s velocity compared to these at 400mm/s
      These Quibic's, like D-box also do haptic / vibrations, not just movement. That in itself is a big difference, I don't see SFX-100 providing this.
      It's a massive difference, I had D-Box and that in itself was amazing.
      SFX-100 has 100mm of travel these one (they have other model with more travel) go 60mm So (SFX has more travel, but slower rate)
      I wouldn't really call these the same league. One is for the hobbyist, and one happy to build, the other is a professional pre-built system, made by a major motion company with lots of support and tuning in their software.

      @striff 9 місяців тому

      @@Triple_M_Motorsport I've got Qubic on order but the system I have on order can do 800 mm/s.
      I don't think force is related to this, more response.
      Another UA-cam reviewer tested The system I'm getting and did 800 mm/s (need 240 / 230 volt, like in Australia or a step up converter) and also did 400 mm/s .

    • @Triple_M_Motorsport
      @Triple_M_Motorsport 9 місяців тому

      @@striff so I wonder what else could change when you lower the force. Mass is constant. Displacement is constant as well (you want the same range of movement but with less force). Time is constant (you want the movement in the same timelapse as before). So… I guess the speed should be lower?

      I had d-box, their pricing to upgrade was ridiculous (wanted to go from 1.5 inch to 3 inch for 3-dof)
      System itself is great and quiet, their support is lacking unless you hint you are looking to buy.
      I looked into Sigma, support was great, system specs look good, but just not enough game support.
      I looked into Qubic, support is outstanding, I'm in Australia, they did a remote session with me and went though what they do, the software etc. (Very similar to D-box) list of games supported is huge, their actuators have great specs.
      I ended up buying their system a few days ago, but through Res-Tech, as they make a modular platform to support / match their rigs which I have!

    I just found this channel looking for motion Sims. Especially when it comes to flight. When flying Helo's. You fly it from the seat of your pants and the sounds of your inner ear of balance and especially when it comes to the Iroquois Huey from Vietnam. Like a ship The kill that runs from the stern to the bow of the ship is the backbone which is that dead center of a ship on the high seas. No matter if it's a Cadillac of All ships of millions of dollars or even a bass boat for under 5K USD? You going to feel any issues and you'll feel it before you see it. I'm wondering if there is a DCS or Microsoft 2020 ability for this product? Really for a helicopter pilots. You really have to fly it by the seat of your pants as you're looking around for man pads of the enemy or supporting JTAC or pfcs on the ground. That would be a great thing for me to promote to others and using this evaluation of yours to promote it. Even hopefully maybe a cheaper version were those who have not may have the ability to u 36:47 pgrade their rigs.
