- The late Johnny Wactor starred as Brando Corbin on "General Hospital" in more than 160 episodes. He left the soap opera in 2022 and had since been working on other productions while bartending at night, until 11 days ago, when he was tragically killed by thieves attempting to steal his car's catalytic converter. Johnny's "General Hospital" co-star and onscreen mom Bonnie Burroughs exclusively spoke to Access Hollywood about her memories of Johnny and how she found out about his tragic death.

We are still sad about the sudden passing of Johnny Wactor. My family and I are big fans of GH and really miss Brando Corbin. He played that role very well. His death was tragic and senseless. He will be truly missed but not forgotten.🙏😢❤️❤️

At first , it was the loss of a GH star. But after hearing from so many , who spoke about JOHNNY WACTOR the person , and seeing who he truly was , it isSOO TRAGIC. It makes me angry that some coward could steal his life without a second thought.

I never heard of this actor until the news broke about his death. I have been reading a lot of online things that he was a wonderful guy.
That's amazing that he left a light.
His death teaches me to be cautious in this world.

My advice is if you see anyone stealing your car or bike or whatever, stand back and protect yourself.
They might have a gun.
Take pics of the suspects from afar.
Then file a report.
Carried pepper spray too.
