Wow, time flies doesn't it. Thank You Michael Moore for your perseverance and patriotism.
I remember returning home from my first tour in Iraq, as a young Marine, around the time this movie was released. I was probably more familiar with, and very much a fan of, Micheal's work than most, having grown up in Michigan, with quite progressive ideals, at least for a Marine. Lol However, I wasn't sure if I was ready to watch something like that, having just experienced, first hand, much of what it's message, I assumed, was about and thus seeking to really just take time to sort of jettison the physical and emotion strain of it all, as much as I could, for as long as I could, until I had to, unfortunately, take it on, once again. You see, I was not only a Marine. I was a grunt. On top of that, I was a reconnaissance grunt. That meant that, even though we were told that we were supposed to get at least six months back, including a month for leave time, we, instead, got four months back, including to weeks of leave time, immediately upon arrival in the states and then we trained for the next tour until we left again. And, when we returned from that one, guess what. You probably guessed it. Yes, we were home for four months and went right back again. Anyway, I'm sure you get the picture. I really didn't want or need to be reminded of the, then, current situation in the world. Then a friend asked me if I wanted to go with them to see it, not knowing, of course, how I felt about the prospect of seeing it and thinking it would be interesting to get my perspective afterward about it. At first, I just told them that maybe, if they wanted to see it later, I'd go, but they persisted, telling me that this might be the only chance they'd get to see it in this particular theater and reminding me that I only had a short time home for leave. So, I eventually, of course, gave in and just went into it with my mental armor on. It's something you learn quickly as a grunt and for me, by that point, it was pretty much automatic. So, as I sat in the theater, I watched, I ate some pop corn, drank some nasty sugar water, and nodded every time one of my friends would whisper a comment about the film. I did everything to make it feel like it was just a normal trip to the movies. Afterward, I thanked them for inviting me along and told them, honestly, that I enjoyed the film very much. They, of course, had a thousand more questions, but I insisted that I was just a dumb grunt and that a lot of it was over my head. But, I understood it completely. What that film was saying, what it was showing, what it was speaking to, was, yes, the people who had no idea what was really going on, who had been lied to, or led astray from the truth in some way, or those who were willfully ignorant as well and needed a wake up call. Who it was also speaking to though, was us. The ones at the epicenter, so to speak, of it all. The ones fighting. The ones bearing lifelong physical and emotional wounds. The ones dying. Both military and civilian. Both domestically and abroad. It was speaking to me. It was saying, you aren't alone. Someone is standing up and fighting for you, because you're the one person they won't let you fight for. Someone understands. And, they're trying to help the world understand.
That's what Micheal does. He does his best to bring hope to people. To the fighters, the poor, the sick, the oppressed, the forsaken, the forgotten, the, "least", of us, and he does it the best way he knows how. And, in my opinion, no one does it better.
Thank you, Micheal, and everyone involved in his films. You are all true patriots and heroes.
Thank you for sharing your story! I'm glad to know as a civilian grunt, I'm not alone
You shared your truth and I thank you for your comment. All the best 🌺 aloha from Hawai’i. ( I’m from a military family, married a Marine that served in Vietnam From 1964-1967)

It's good to see a wide swath of people actually agreeing on something peacefully for a change.
You go, Michael!!
Thank you, Micheal for Booking and Traveling with 'your' film and getting it shown.
As with all your films they are a amazing collection to own. - m.
Thank you Michael, I saw the movie when it came out and it changed my life. Hopefully young people will this as a prompt to see this movie. Thank you.
Landrew - It never change anyone, even the youth of today, are even more brainwashed than ever, i.e social media is more precious to them, its very sad..
Fahrenheit 9/11 literally blew the box office away; it was #1 in its opening weekend with *$22 million* (a record haul for a documentary) despite playing in only 868 screens.
The Regal Goldstream in Fairbanks, AK started showing the film in its second week as well as hundreds others all over the country (it was originally going to be the Blue Loon), which saved us the long drive to Anchorage and back; when I saw it, the one screen was 90% sold out and applause broke out as soon as the end credits rolled (by comparison, Spider-Man 2 played in four of the theater’s 16 screens).
Thank you for this michael
I still remember the day when this was first released. I was too young to get it then, but I do recall the hype around this at the time.
The last time any artist genuinely supported the peace movement!!
I LOVED this movie....thank you, thank you, thank you!!! :) Started me on a powerful journey of seeking TRUTH..... Thank you....
Thank you Michael Moore! I am not an American, but America has no right to make the rules for other countries!
...they need to take care of their citizens first!!!
@@37Raffaella f*cking up everything and everyone else in the meantime
Vote Michael Moore 2024! 👍
Only movie I have ever seen where people clapped at the end. EPIC
Thanks mike
Love what Michael Moore does is Shakespear of film.
Please do one on The Coronavirus Covid-19 Pandemic next!!! 👍
I need to watch it again to remind me that neither party has changed and it doesn’t mean I have to choose between two limited choices or not to vote. To me it means to vote for who opposes them, in this case, the Greens to give them a bigger voice. Vote conscience.
I'm voting green as well. Vote concience.
Well done! Great reminder of the extremely important film made by Michael Moore, and how far we still have to go...why politics matters so very much... why we should care...
Very motivating!
I love you Michael Moore!
i never needed any movie to know the towers were professionally demolished, as clear as night follows day
Voté Michael Moore thanks Michael You🙏🙏🙏
Thanks Michael....for your dedication and all of your hard work......I've seen the majority of your movies and follow you faithfully. You are one of the very few people who bring to light the dirty things that hide in the shadows.....Thank you!
Your a legend man i hope more people open their eyes 💯💯
I saw "F 9/11" AT THE GRAND LAKE in OAKLAND, CA. Thanks for the memories.
This is the clue Ellen DeGenerous needs
Michael!!❤️❤️❤️
Because of this video I decided to go back and rewatch Fahrenheit 9/11, and let me tell you, it's just as angering now as it was back then. Really, nothing has changed since then. We're still in Iraq and we're still in Afghanistan. The American Empire rolls on.
Will you please make it available on Hulu. I’d really like to see it! I have the HBO add on, as I think many others do as well. Thank you!
Where can I watch it. It's nowhere to buy
How can I watch it?
Regretfully I’ve never seen the film, so I want to know, is it on Netflix?
darn golly. id like to watch more of this channel. but wowzor the pieces are long

Brett S.
Ikr?! Especially today since 2017 to currently: 2020!
Quaint indeed, living a real life American horror show now.
First time I'm seeing this. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! Took my mind off of Trump for 2:02:05.
...never get to go to school
Never get to fall in love
Never get to be cool
-Neil Young-
Keep on Rockin Michael
Never seen it.
Keep showing the movie in the USA,people own the Country, not their polititions
That *is* a member of Fluxus saying good things about your art. Not bad.
Nothing changed since.
Does not mention Israel.
MICHAEL MOORE GOD
I saw that movie today....and i must say the political system in America is even worse than i expected!!For a European/German like me this thing's are unbelievable... its like in a 3rd World Country.😐
Why do you deny the work of Dr Judy Wood?
everyone in washington needs to see the movie VAXXED...and VAXXED II.
Lets watch Fahrenheit with George W. Bush!
This is a really good documentary. Your Planet of the Humans, however is not. A lot of half truths and disinformation. As an example the endless mining for rare minerals? Those stuff are needed in medical equipment and electronics too! In fact silica is more important in electronics than any other usage!
The Bush era...a simpler time!
Michael Moore we need more documentaries, especially about how this country is being disunited by neocons and neolibs.
Big Mike....
I love that they hate you!
And then you clowns voted in Trump. Thanks. From an Aussie.
How many donuts did you buy after making this?
So much bullshit in one movie.
How much money is in your bank account after making all of your movies?
How much is in your account? And wtf does that have anything to do with this? He should have more $$ than Quintan Terratino imo. Mr. Moore produces, researches, and stars in his own award winning films that change lives. What is it you do again?
No more Trump Trump You dan out
