I think parents not teaching their childrens their mother language is the most stupid thing a parent can do. Like, its so common kids growing up w 2 or more languages and they don't strugle w this, actually is really a good thing to be fluent in more than one language at the age of 10. I have a friend who speaks arabic and portuguese since birth and is so cool.
I can speak english portuguese and spanish but just portuguese I grew up speaking and the other two I learned after my 16teenth so even though I'm fluent in spanish cuz I had more contact w hispanics in Latam I couldn't manage my english to be better than an intermediate 😢 life would be so easier if my parents have put me in english classes since 4 years old
