As a small spender I only use lucky eggs for really good events or friendship bonuses. I also prefer to save up and get the large pack o coins to maximize the free coins
I never spend on lucky eggs bc the research always gives me as many as I need
And you still get shit I know I do the same thing but if you pay hundreds of dollars for raid passes you will get ahead in this game
I am a free to play player so I only spend pokecoins which I get from defending gyms 50 coins per day . I haven't spent a SINGLE DOLLAR in the game since I started but I grind hard everyday day so I have good amount of shiny's and hundo's from my free grind
Yeah, overall in 4 years, I have spent R2100 (130.90$) which isn't to bad for 4 years of playing, I have gotten pretty far in the game.
Compared to mortal Kombat mobile which I also am a big fan of playing since last year March, I spent R4200 on mortal Kombat only in 1 year😅
So, if you think about it, Pokémon Go is alot more affordable in general than other mobile games when it comes to purchases.
Also, if one is smart and goes for the cheapest option which is R7 for 100 pokecoins each and you od that 14x, you will save alot more money than when it comes to buying the huge costs for 1000coins or something

Also as a fan of Pokemon Go and playing since October 2016, and as a hobby, I don't mind spending money on the game here and there for events such as egg hatching and raiding.
Although, these days raiding isn't ideal for money wise as you could have done like 40 raids and still no shiny.
My luck and passion recently lies in the egg hatching where I have hatched a couple of shinies which is epic so, I think these days, I am buying the ultra boxes that contain incubators for that.
But I guess we all have our different ways of luck in this game e.g. wild spawns; raids; hatching etc
you can buy pokecoins using a vpn trick in turkey a lot and i mean A LOT cheaper than in any other country

I have 4 shiny mewtwos 40$ in. I’ll leave it at that lol no more spending this month. Pretty much the most I’ve ever spent per month. Usually go with 20 if they have cool pokemon out. If the pokemon are boring and don’t look cool, like those Tapu pokemon, I don’t spend a penny on those.

It is deserved, but still insane! Thats about 40x main series games shiny odds of 1 in 4096! Incredible.

Made this suggestion on Nick's last video: Minor suggestion..have mega Gyrados (Water/Dark) running so ya get all that extra wimpod candies...evolved 1 each day so far...WHILE...accepting Mewtwo raids to help friends...i.e. all dark moves are boosted. That way you can 3 man it (even if it's boosted) with plenty o' time left

This event was really helpful for me because i just started out and i just got my first ever shiny yesterday (if your going to ask what the shiny was it was charmander)
Congrats man that's really rare I been hunting him all weekend and sense the event came out and I still have yet to get a shiny Charmander or squirttle or Bulbasaur and those are the ones I been mainly going for thought it would be easier getting there shiny that's way then from raiding for Blastoise venasaur and Charizard I did about 14 Charizard raids and still haven't gotten his shiny I'm gonna try again today hopefully I get one if not oh well

That is insane luck! Though your video does highlight the importance of grinding for stardust. You spent 10x as much money on the $100 but didn't get 10x the amount of stardust, you got closer to 3x. Grinding is the way to go if that's the resource you need!

I know it's not a huge difference, but in the 1st day when you unlocked the new Wimpod, you got 500 or 1000 xp for new Pokedex entry. This wouldn't really be a good marker to compare with 2nd day, but I digress. Also, 4 shiny Mewtwo in a row, that's just ridiculously amazing.

Im a usd10 player and I am very particular on using each item.
1. When i use incense, I start when im walking and mostly during special event/prolong duration.
2. Before I start my lucky egg, i plan on what to do/evolve/friendship. Usually i bundle all together.
3. Stardust only when special/boosted stardust event
4. Only raid legendary/special pokemon in raid only. Because legendary probability is higher.
5. Buy bundle/special box if all item used.
The smaller ur budget, the more particular and more plan when u use ur items
I luckily never have to worry about spending pokecoins for items because after coming back after 9 months of losing interest in the game, I came back now in June for the best time (Go Fest; Field research; Deino com day coming still; Mewtwo in raids)
Reason why I don't have to worry about spending coins on items is because I have so many special Research tasks that I haven't completed still so, I can get items such as premium riad passes and pokeballs and all🤣
I only completed last year's Go Fest research after this year's Go Fest 🤣🤣
Also got a random shiny Hopip yesterday 🤩

Dude, you too? I have done 70 Mewtwo raids since it returned, no shiny. People are getting them, but it's crazy. Wonder if they fucked it up somehow or something. I know shiny Mewtwo is turned on, lol, cause some of my raid buddies got theirs, but it's so unusual for people to go so many raids without a shiny. I got two hundos since it came back before getting any shiny.
