@Harriet Antrobus mrs brown show has its moments, and has me cracked up at times, but generally it’s outdated and hackneyed, the jokes are old and overdone, and the whole show has little that is original and actually funny.
I was watching this in the car whilst waiting for the kids to come out of school. I was actually crying with laughter and had a few strange stares from people as they walked past. Funniest things I've seen in AGES!
So do I and I wish I could have made the first comment because I am Claim To Fame Man and I can't claim this now.Mind you I have met Count Arthur so that's good enough. The man is a genius.
I first discovered Arthur on his superb radio show, and was instantly hooked. It's utterly hilarious. The TV show is good, but not nearly as good as the radio program, in my opinion, though the Arthur portrayed in the TV is much more likeable than the radio version. And I was really surprised but happy to see that Arthus looks and physically acts much like I imagined he would, even down to the totally convincing expressions of bemusement on his face when he is (frequently) confused by what's going on around him, even when he's the one who is causing all the chaos. Steve Delaney is (to use the very common and mostly mis-applied term) a comic genius, one of the few genuine examples, and Count Arthur Strong is one of the very best British comedy characters, up there with Basil Fawlty, Frank Spencer, Mr Bean, Alan Partridge, and David Brent.
Allan and Eve! Haha so funny...how Arthur is not a bigger success is a mystery. That's others misfortune and my fortune. His radio shows are gut busting hilarious.
What a wonderful year you have had can't wait for your new series in the new year. Remember a turkey is not just for Christmas you can eat them all the year round. Good Luck Arthur,Your humble Lord, Lord Harry.
Genius - my 12 and 13 year olds watch and listed to him endlessly, can quote him and do - we love it (as does my 87yo mum) - new episodes on radio and TV please (they also love Dad's Army, John Finnemore, the Goodies and, especially, Cabin Pressue - British comedy is ace!)
I remember Count Arthur coming down my chimney, or at least that's how he said he got in. What fun we had playing get the neck off this Christmas drink. Oooh it was a nice drop of sploosh. Strangely I couldn't find my turkey after Arthur left with his pet Amazonian parrot stuffed in his pocket. I look forward to another visit from the great man subject to his tag being removed in the near future!
Count Arthur Strong's Christmas Message 0857am 12.7.23 this man, eddie, has secured his place in the annals of the teaching of scholarly history - his rendering of the nativity was spot on!!! as i remember it... no doubt Arthur was there. so he'd know...
Absolutely hilarious Count Arthur! Love your Christmas fireplace and note that its blocked up so Santa can't come in. Hope you have a happy Christmas and lots of people buy your book. PS You'll have to buy the book yourself Vix - can I borrow it after you please?
Let him give the big speech on Xmas day and give her Maj the day off it's unfair for a lady of that age to be working let alone on Xmas day, she deserves to put her feet up with a copy of the radio times plotting what she's going to watch after stuffing herself with turkey and all thy trimmings
If only he was on at Christmas instead of Miss bloody Brown😖😖

He left out the best part about the hotels being full bc it was Christmas! Bring back CAS radio!
I miss the radio show. I cannot take to the TV show at all they should have kept the original characters

Couldn't agree with you more. Arthur has given me more belly laughs over the years than anyone.
Lor’ Bless the Count! He should do one of these every Xmas. Never mind ‘er Madge, give me the Count’s Xmas address every time.

I’ve seen this so often. I laugh every time. The best bit? “...the three blind wild men...” 😀😀😀
Worth revisiting every Xmas!
What a complete legend
Sooooo talented... could listen to him all day !!!
In the original he says 'Mary and Judas couldn't find a hotel cos they were all booked up with it being Christmas' XD lmaooo
Genius - my 12 and 13 year olds watch and listed to him endlessly, can quote him and do - we love it (as does my 87yo mum) - new episodes on radio and TV please (they also love Dad's Army, John Finnemore, the Goodies and, especially, Cabin Pressue - British comedy is ace!)
excellent, yes Cabin Pressure is even less known than the count, i think, both are exquisite
Brilliant! Come back Arthur, I really do.
OO I want that book!
It’s about time the BBC were woken up and put on some decent show like this BBC after 10.30 is diabolical with shows like Ru Paul crap
The three blind, wild men...
It's not even close on so many levels. Pure genius.
Excellent, Arthur at his best, not the TV wishy washy version.
Domestos!

Pure comedy genius

Take a Arthur speech anytime rather than the Queen's Christmas speech any day.
At last Series 7 is now available on CD!!
brilliant!
He reminds me of Harry Worth on speed!
Thank you, Count Arthur. I really do.
I am froth...forth so that's....That!
Laughed so much I wet myself!!
love it
Class
2:24 Herod's wife was called Dorris, wasn't she.
Very good point! It was a proper classical name, but in recent times, it is so out of fashion, that it has become a "comedy name".
ha ha ha ha this is excellent!
Crying with laughter. This man's a genius.
'Anyway, get yourselves off home.'
I had to phone Doris to come and get me! Loool
Meanwhile in domestos.....😂😂😂😂😂
Arthur is my role model.
FFS I cant stop laughing. This man is outstanding.
Alan and eve😂😂

Alan and Eve ... were dead😃
Alan Souchon
I'm crying laughing. Bag of pick n mix 😂
Allan and Eve 😂
Domestos 🤣
Irreverent about our dear Lord. How dare you!
I'd put him in the same category as Mrs Browns boys, Cynthia Bucket and Citizen Kahn. One-joke character repeated ad nauseum...
