YES! THIS is what I was looking for. A bow that is actually simple and easy to do. I needed a bow I could make a little smaller for my santa hat door hanger, and this was perfect. I had spools of ribbon 9 feet long and this method left me with enough to actually make a full bow. THANK YOU!

I grew up with impeccable Fifth Avenue shop wrapping (all the best stores had actual professional wrapping departments, as a courtesy) and an artist mom who knew how to wrap stunningly in her own right. But it seems I’d forgotten everything she’d taught me about bow making and wrapping (plus I’d gotten lazy after 50+ years of wrapping our family’s countless gifts)! I needed your refresher. Something new since my mom’s and that Manhattan age has been wired ribbon. It truly stands up to shaping for a spectacular presentation, even when shipping a long distance. This Christmas, I made bows for the best gifts I shipped to loved ones - out of McKenzie and Childs wired black and white checked gold-edged red-backside ribbon. Great handmade bows really up the gift game! Thank you!

OK, you've given me motivation. Bows have always intimidate me. I just finished an Easter wreath and I needed someone to show how to make a bow. I love this style. It will go great on my wreath. going to go make it right now.
