Is there a clash between Islam & Science?

In theory, there can be no clash between Islam & Science because "Truth cannot contradict the truth" - God is One. However, in practice, we observe a series of examples of science opposed by mistaken interpretation of scripture (or objections) like: the earth goes round the sun, the earth is flat, etc. Thus, it is religious interpretations which go against science or which are unscientific.
Sh. Dr. Usama Hasan also introduces early Muslim scholars who helped develop the scientific method - Ibn al-Haytham, al-Biruni, Ibn Sina, Ibn Rushd, etc.
