They’ve spent 100’s of millions on players that never worked out, you may not care about the money but that can’t then be spent on other players even if we had an Abramovich type chairman. Gradually success on the pitch (via £ spent) will mirror club revenue generation.

Yes, Ange's answer, 'No, we will play our own way' did not sit right with me either. The goal of football is to win every game by scoring more goals and conceding less goals. What's the point of not winning by sticking to 'we will play our own way'. I feel Ange Ball's battle plan is too uneconomical and wasteful in terms of players' energy and efforts for a long Premier League season where top football talents play hyper competitively. I've lost my confidence in him when I heard him saying that.
in Ange's first year at Celtic they did play Barca and everyone was asking were they going to sit back and be defensive and pragmatic etc. No, they took it to them and for 60 minutes played Barca off the park. Hit the post, shots were saved or whistled past the post. Eventually the class of Barca overcame but to the Celtic players and fans that game showed exactly what they could do playing angeball and they swept all before them and did not lose another domestic game all season. Believe.

Timo Werner wasn’t MEANT to be “the guy” to take us to the next level, he’s a low risk versatile player who gives us depth and buys into the system, PLUS he has the ability to grow in confidence and become a better finisher. If he went for another option there was no guarantee they’d be any better even if they cost a lot more.
ps, And Ange's answer regarding our defence/defending was just ridiculous tbh . . . basically telling everyone within earshot (including opposing managers) he doesn't give a hoot in hell about defending

@@Ayoung2028 I’d imagine they are club members and buy tickets the same way you do mate. Also there are always tickets on the exchange, just not for the very biggest games.

Your question at 12:10 about the cup final and digging in, this was exactly what happened at Celtic v Rangers. Celtic basically dug in in the second half and mainly defended. The players were given ownership of that and just dug in. So Anges teams did adapt to those situations.

Anyone who’s whining about where we are, remember the play under our last 3 managers.We’re on a rebuild and it doesn’t happen overnight.Klopp,Ferguson and Arteta had 5 years.The United fans were after Fergusons blood sometimes.I started watching Spurs when we were in the second division,78, and I think Ange is the best manager I’ve seen at Spurs.COYS.

You can’t compare Ange to Arteta. Arteta started out cautiously, he was playing defensive football in his first 2 seasons. Ange has played his high line since day 1.
