Helicopter FLIR thermal imager camera aids in capture of fugitive.

After a short chase with San Juan County Sheriff's Deputies and Bloomfield Police Officers, a fugitive flees the vehicle he was driving and attempts to escape on foot. Law enforcement personnel quickly locate the home he has been reported to have hidden in. Once they determine that the suspect is not inside the home, a search is begun on foot and in the air. The helicopter is quickly able to guide in deputies to the location of the hidden fugitive and an arrest is made.
This video footage also shows the dangers law enforcement face every day. As this was at night, and they were unable to see the suspect, they initially walk past him in the dark. Thankfully the suspect did not use a weapon as they did so, and no one was injured in this arrest.
